When rebellion is not a gimmick, when it is fully backed by talent, musicianship and creativity, that is the DK's.
John at his strange best. Thanks for posting!
Greg Sage was such an underrated guitarist

I’ve loved the Wipers for 40 years, but never seen them live, nor any video. Yeah, he reminds me of Alan Vega.

WOW BIG thanks for this very early DK show with such good sound. You are to be praised for preserving this!!
Who do I have to blow to get the rest of this footage released?
Absolutely precious. Tell me you have the rest.
JELLO WAS RIGHT
This is so great to see in such high quality. When I was still a punk-obsessed 13-year-old, a copy of this set (along with the accompanying "early" set from the same night) was one of the first bootlegs I ever listened to. It was sent to me by a guy from San Diego named Chris (who ran the BCT label back in the '80s), and who very generously sent me fifty-something shows in the mail so I could get my collection started and begin trading for real. Still one of the nicest and most selfless things anyone's ever done for me, btw, especially in an era of 2x-speed stand-alone CD burners! I remember that this particular set was one that really stood out to me for many reasons - the high audio fidelity, great setlist, raging performance, and of course the presence of "Night of the Living Rednecks" midway thru the second set! It wasn't til a few years later that I got my hands on the video copy, albeit in a much blurrier and higher gen version than what I'm watching today. Thank you guys so much for taking the initiative to tape the show and get the resulting recordings out there into trade circulation.
