Absolutely love this sled, it's by far top of the list for fun, reliability and handling, it's pretty quick too, keeps right up with mid 2000s rev 600s. But my 05 mach z is a wild ride if your lookin for speed hahahah

Ill bet. my brother had a thunder cat 1000. that was a crazy fast sled. But i had a 98 mach z that was crazy fast too. lol. thing i love about the rotax,rave motors is run great, plus awesome on fuel and oil. happy trails.@@j.r.c.racing

All rotary came factory with oil coolers! I run the oem . Stock Nikki carb, rb top hat, full header and back exhaust, pretty stock, gutted cage, suspension fuel cell. Not to crazy. IT Cars are meant to be budget friendly

Haha up in NE, we have a bunch of us who run the IT7! We keep trying to build the group as a low budget super fun entry into scca. I'm thinking about getting a decent rental it7 car to help build the pack up more hahahaha but then how to get it to the track

Thanks!! When i got my car it had been sitting since the 90s and was a ITA car! When I went to school I met all the IT7 guys in the NER and they said, your with us now, and it's been amazing since thanks to these guys.

Lolol yea not to large, but still the only one we have, the clubs around us ask people to not use bubblers for docks, but this little island is special. We had one this year maybe 30 ft wide not really even worth recording.

We have rode from Lewis ny down to lake George great ride that gas station loves seeing 15-20sleds roll in all hot lol

The 600s are the best for air time, the ole 1000 is a big brute ape flying through tbe air

@@j.r.c.racing good to know the 600 I have is my first modern sled I grew up riding the old '90s sleds as a kid and so when I moved to the zoo and got the opportunity I grabbed two 1989 formula plus 500 and an 05 MXZ 600 I can't wait to rip it up I made a mini track around my mobile home LOL waiting on the trail conditions to get better it's super wet here right now

@@redneckwonderland yea man it's freaking wild.. terrible, not like when I was a kid that's for sure and that's only 10 years ago lololol We ride up past Lake George, and also out on Indian lake up to the old forge trails and moose river plains. Good spots to check out for sure.

My pb is a 105 this April with emra on half used date code 2018 toyo ra1 205 60 13s, this race was super slippery and my tires were about done and I ran consistent 106 in traffic with the sm2 miatas and b spec mini/fits

My car weighs 2412 with me in it.

@@j.r.c.racing That's great! 1:05 is pretty close to track record for IT7, isn't it? I'm watching your video looking for ways to improve, I think I could do better in Turn 1 if I just focused on braking instead of getting the downshift in. I also need to stop comfort braking into uphill/west/downhill. I've been lifting about the same location but tapping the brakes slightly but I think if I commit it will hold.

Yes for sure, i was braking before uphil a bit during this race unintentionally sort of, as it was hot and slippery and my tires were about done, i was also scared to be on the out side on up hill when a miata, who were on slicks made a pass on the inside,, it felt like I was holding them up at times, and, For this event I had to use a stock rear end...my 4.88 rear started making a whining noise and I had to use a 3.9 with my lsd to make the event, definitely slower in corners and less accell. Need to figure that out before next event as well as new tires, but to be NER IT7 legal I need 15 inch wheels not 13s. But I really like my 13 panasports and wana replace with cheap Koenigs or something fake lol i wanted to go to the Glen with finger lakes scca but this year I can't make the season ender, I feel my 3.9 might like it there hahaha.

And yes 105 is pretty close to the record, Dan holds it, I believe it was a 103/104 quite a few years back. I told him I going for his record, lolol, but I didn't tell him, I'll need his help for it

Finishing the race was enough for me! I was sad no other cars in my class showed up, but a buddy told me, part of racing is showing up, and the rest is finishing, so be happy all you need to do is finish.

Pretty sure your a little hooked on racing. Keep on showing up and finishing. IMSA racing may be next.
