@bbbong I used the SkyRC GNSS and the new Race Box GNSS to read my speeds. The RC community uses the SKY RC GNSS more often. Both do well but the Race Box is still working out some kinks far as connectivity but is very accurate.

@dimitarkunchev you shouldn't have to change from track to airplane mode. This device is mostly used in on road cars that already do 200+. I don't know where you got that info but it doesn't sound consistent. People have already achieved 200+ with standalone track GPS tracking. I have contacted RaceBox and I heard from the grapevine that they may be sending out an app update with some possible fixes next year. Hopefully, that would clear up this random disconnecting run sessions.

@ahmersarwar I didn't rush and throw gearing on my car. I gradually worked up from stock speed run gearing from Arrma and just increased the gearing based on the motor heat temperatur. ALL Motors are not made equally which is why the manufacturer tells us to slowwly work up. If i give you the gear it does not guarantee you will get the same speeds or more. There are a lot of factors at play that determines the top speed you achieve. First thing first is setup up tour car to handle the speeds you are trying to achieve. That is more important than gearing. You don't want your car lifting and flying. Bye bye money 💰 🤑. Then how your batteries are charged and type of batteries 🔋. Gyro or not depends on the operator. But I say all this because people are going to come back here and read this and I don't want them believing you are going to get the same results. I tried it before following Raz Shifrin and Phillip Jolley and others who gave out gearing. It didn't work. And I'm telling you like the told me. Slowly work your way up and record your gearing in your book for that particular motor and batteries and conditions. If you made it this far reading this then I'll tell you. Download the speed gear app and put in your theoretical gearing thatvwill show your theoretical speed. And that's it. Pinion 34 spur stock 46.

@vwturbowolf Thanks for the feedback! To answer your questions. I had 17 satellites before I started recording. I don’t think anyone can see it at the beginning of video. Unless you zoom in. Also, the Sky RC had 11-12. 5 less satellites than Race Box. And everyone can see it started recording. I had this happen plenty of times and I was able to recover the run. It just didn’t work this time. And I thought it could be the battery but it’s plugged in the receiver which powers it. So that can’t be the problem. I don’t think it’s the device I had 2 hours of recording before the run. I think it was the app itself. I didn’t do it but I think I should have closed the app and reopen it to see if it would restore the previous recording. But this happens often with me so I’ll show it again next time it happens. I feel like a beta tester🤣 And congratulations again on the single motor 200mph challenge bro! Come to my spot you’ll have an extra .10 - .15 miles to run and it’s flat.

And that additional information is the selling point of it. Otherwise if the sky RC would show that hundredths of a second. I think most people wouldn’t bother with the race box. Not a lot of people like there geographic location shown. It’s an invasion of privacy. And no one really knows where that information is being sent to. At least that’s what one of my buddies said😂

@jerbino well it does run on 3S. I will encourage you to go to Castle Creation website and research what the motor is capable of. I assure you. Nothing but integrity on my channel. I am using a 3S lipo hooked up to an xlx2 esc that’s capable of up to 8S. Follow me. Both motors are capable of running from 3S to 8S. Each esc and motor is connected to its own individual 3S lipo. There is no series connection or parallel connection. We are just running one 3S lipo directly to each esc and motor. Each esc is only receiving 3S power. I hope I explained it enough for anyone who is confused. If you are still confused please refer to Raz Shifrins Dual motor build.

@andrataylor6070 I would get a couple just in case. And put some diff oil in there too. 10k front 7k rear. That’s what I did and the car drives good for me. Maybe it will for you.

@SpeedrunTnRC in my mind I think it helps it track straight. But we see others go just as fast without the perfect pass bat wing. I just left it on there because I was using it for my Ferrari F50 Body. I’d actually thought about removing it to see if it is contributing to less speed. This is a heavy car so weight reduction could help squeeze that extra mph out of her.

@@MatrixRC for sure it looks killer, is why I was gonna leave it and it wasn’t cheap to have it laying it a drawer lol. But I’d say I’ll weigh it with four scales one each tire . Or just take it off for a run.

@@SpeedrunTnRC yea I’m just going to remove the wing and cross my fingers. Those scales are a bit too much added labor. In the end you need what you need. When you setup the car and align it correctly with what you have, it should track straight anyway. That’s just my opinion on the scales. Definitely useful for track racing though. For buggy, truggy, short course and stadium truck.
