Lakeforest Mall, Gaithersburg, MD - Partial mall walk through on 3/11/2023
A walk through the about-to-be-closed Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, Maryland on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Music is still playing. Macys is open for nine more days. The mall will close for good on March 31, 2023. Plans are for demolition and complete redevelopment in 2024 or later.

This is an exterior drive around of the soon-to-be-closed Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Taken at 4pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023, a few weeks before the mall closes for good. I have interior footage as well that I will splice and post when I have some time.

Dead Mall. Full walkthrough on July 11, 2021. Not quite closed, but only a handful of stores still open and only one anchor store (Macy's) still in business. Apologies for the mark on the lens! Next time I will have better video.
