Damn you guys get a metronome? We just got the gock block
Dang quads! Leave some clean notes for the rest of us.
Sheesh! I’m partial to BD cuz I marched in 2002, but 2024 SCV line is (chef’s kiss) clean! WOOOH!
Why everyone dressed like a YA sci-fi protagonist and the director is a lost fisherman?
POV I walk out side and sé starts vibing🎉😂
Beautiful sticking!!
So those drummers could have been respected, but they chose the amount of gay that gays hate.
If one can't respect them because they find something off about how they're dressed, then maybe one's opinion shouldn't count in the first place🤷🏽
@@SensibleCreeper I think you're confused and projecting your own hatred onto others. Not everyone is living as sad a piece of shit existence as you are.
Wow doesn’t seem as flashy as they used to be! This sounds more like an older rennick (I think that’s his name?) scv/cc break than a blue devils one! Still fire tho 🔥
Synced shoes with different effects would be cool if allowed
damn the colourguard in the back can’t count
That's why they're not in the band 😂
For the algorithm. ✊
At first I was like. Why do a bunch of prisoners in jail have Drumsticks.
Never seen a gay marching band before
I love that tech so much 😭
Kid said I'ma be helpful
Yall worried about the center snare when the color guard looks absolutely crazy SMH 😅
Yea❤❤❤
🗑️ Didn’t know the village people, pirates of the Caribbean, Richard Penniman, Diana Taurasi, Richard Simmons, Elton John, Sam Smith, and George Michael formed a fairy line.
I just stared at the subtitles the whole time
Looking like a jail house lol jk awesome work
Youre suppose to know the steps from the music not by watching. Watching helps but it isn't needed.
Nice
Hairline on the last one goes CRAZYYY
That's Sectional Harrassment! 😂❤
Fast and clear. Great bass boost in the beginning
Excellent drumming show
I thought those were inmates for second
Great excuse to buy some bomb ass shoes
Guys gabe is so good...

Dang man you got a lot of idiots in your comments
Uniform upgrade everybody
When I tell people i’m a drum major this is NOT what I mean, we don’t do marching bands in Canada, you gotta join the police or military for that
@christinestill7303 At that precise moment in time, they are rehearsing outside the stadium in a limited space. That's the key, fact they aren't moving as they would be. This isn't their entire performance on the field. It's a small section. Sometimes they practice their most difficult to run through. Exception of the pit, this is the entire 'marching' drumline. Notice they are doing some movement. Dutting is part of the performance AND their practice. Every single drumline duts when practicing. So, it's not a preference. This is a performance going to be doing shortly. Watch actual performance. Key they have to be precise & on time. Judges are wearing white shirts in front of them adjudicating them by strokes, timing & movement. Let's play a game of 4 parts: Watch the below hyperlink 1) See if can figure out where that grass section is in the full performance. Tell me if ever hear the "dut". 2) Tell me how many times they're actually doing "dutting" in the performance. Keep in mind may not hear all of the times because of how loud the horns are. 3) Can you track the actions where the drumline specifically is? Or where the snares are doing? Such as running, where located on field, going in between horns & percussion such as being near the pit & when not playing. 4) Are there difficult marching movements that are hard to see the DMs (drum majors)? How many are there & where are they situated (they change a few times)? Any really difficult musical sections must be in sync playing? ruclips.net/video/lDFNQ__xyyU/видео.html Boston Crusaders is competitive member of DCI (Drum Corp International) founded in 1971. This Corps is Boston Crusaders founded in 1940, is the third-oldest junior drum and bugle corps in the nation also a founding member of Drum Corps International founded in 1971. Original corps competed in American Legion & VFW groups then combined with Drum Corps Associates then split into DCI. Basic, it's drums and brass only, no woodwinds. At one time, there were kettle/timpani drums in marching section. They were too heavy & deemed unsafe to march so placed them in the pit. That is what both DCA & DCI did. Another, bugles were the musical melody. Originally no valves which limited the notes could play. Then added 1-2 valves gave more notes can play in music. Now there are concert horns incorporated such as trombones & valve concert trumpets & french horns advanced the bugles. Never at question throughout evolution was the main duty of percussion is to keep precise rhythm keeping the entire group in sync controlling the speed of rhythm. A steady, consistent beat is what is important. If not, it's as if in an echo chamber. No clarity of sound & some hitting notes ahead of others. Dutting (what you term "dat" or whatever typically is "dut" sound}. Or similar phrases for timing. Applied in DCI drumming the purpose being sharp, precise & unison. Typically the middle snare starts chanting & all the snares join in. Primarily can't see the DM, turning away, doing intricate pattern, transitioning between pauses or changes in time to keep ALL in sync. Argument I might hear is "I" don't think they need to do that. hmm, it's when a group of drummers do it that's difficult, can't be off from each other they are one of few groups stay relatively close to each other. They're the ones as a group must be precise together. Also they help the other members can't see the DMs to hear them to keep in unison too. I know any competitive marching music group (HS band, parade, DCI, DCA & Collegiate & WGI) uses it. People who are fans & marched know this sound & why it's used. The larger the group more drummers will dut because of those specific situations, especially executing complex marching maneuvers. Us in the seats in those situations barely hear them dut from the field. Here we are way closer when they're competing on a football field. I know (yes, don't know me to know) been a participant & former instructor; from Bands of America Grand National Championships, DCI & DCA all held @ Lucas Oil Stadium. Even have friends in or coached WGI @ Dayton OH. (It's winter guard & "percussion".) The purpose being sharp, precise & unison. Typically the middle snare starts chanting & all the snares join in. Primarily in marching, rarely ever used in orchestra or jazz ensembles. It helps when can't see the DM, turning away or transitioning between time signatures, pauses or changes keep in sync. Argument someone might give, "I" can do that, hmm, it's when a group of drummers do it that's difficult, can't be off. They're the ones as a group must be precise together. Also they help the other members can't see the DMs to hear them to keep in unison too. I know it's in any competitive 'marching' music group (HS band, parade, DCI, DCA, Collegiate & WGI); note not mentioning foreign groups who don't march complex marching). It's used specifically transitioning in music especially with larger group numbers because in specific situations changes of speed going backwards, or crossing through different patterns can affect. Once watch their actual performance can agree this could be a case? By the way, not every dutting can be heard in the crowd.
maybe a 4 compared to the Top Secret Drum Corps
Someone mentioned military bands. They aren't bad, but military is military it will never change. Those in DCI have more freedom of marching in intricate patterns than the military & style. Uh hate to argue but the best percussionists are not the military groups. They have specific songs & routines. Many who performed in DCI are in the military. BUT must march in a certain manner.
Im sorry but what are those outfits..
@@TehBudWhisperer pretty
maybe a 4 compared to the Top Secret Drum Corps.
they can take lessons from the Top Secret Drum Corps.
amatures compared to the Top Secret Drum Corps.
i don’t think so 😂
they should watch the Top Secret Drum Corps. and learn.

Anyone know what sticks the snares were using?
Can someone please explain why band members wear the ugliest uniforms? They could be totally badass, but instead they’re like “no we also can figure skate on ice.”
They perform theatrical shows. Those are their costumes. They will look weird when seen outside of the context of the floor performance in a random parking lot.
@@Will-ep2prThis is the answer. 100%. May look strange out of context, but it totally makes sense on the floor. It’s less a fashion statement and more a function of presenting a complete package when seen as a whole with the floor, props, music, visual storytelling, etc.
theyre easy to move in and theyre cheap WGI is literally like a musical but for drums/colorguard/horns
My man ripping out such sick patterns, it caused a nose bleed.🤘😑
IS THIS A GAY DRUM BAND I'M NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE BUT BOY THOSE LOOK LIKE OUTFITS AT THE SOUTHERN LADY IN NEW ORLEANS IS WHERE
No it's not. Competition has evolved from musical instruments, to changing of GE presentation including color guards, to changing from standard uniforms to variety of each group & colors used. It's intense to change up musical compositions, presentation using scaffolding, colors & intricate marching. Some groups they looked like androids such as Cavaliers. Others pirates & other gangsters. It's what was thought to be theme. Believe it or not this about pirates ditties (songs). See my post check out the actual performance.
fellas, is it gay to wear nice outfits?
You don't get the explanation? Uniforms for the brass & percussion has changed into costumes. ruclips.net/video/_hS5cjhdgbQ/видео.html ruclips.net/video/nUGSGOmP3Dk/видео.html Summary: This is 'not' a gay band. Now, a few could be gay but not all. Many alumni have marched including myself. We all aren't gay. There are paid roles that figure out the theme, select music have it arranged as well as design drill designed; costumes designed for color guards, brass & percussion. Similar to a Broadway show. It's not done in a week or 2. This takes many months to coordinate. How did uniforms evolve to costumes? Debate starts with a few corps. One being the Bridgemen who wore bright yellow raincoats instead of militaristic. Don't call them gay, they're from Bayonne NJ. Could be tires slashed for that remark (kinda kidding). ruclips.net/video/D8wsXvHvLx4/видео.html Color guards changed from standard boots & military lower skirt uniform to costumes & stopped only using apparatus (saber, rifles, balls & varied flag types) changed using dance choreology. It worked better looking artistic. Now to be more competitive became classical & then contemporary avant guard again changed into costumes may only wear that season. More intense the competition, more wanted to one up level the competition in music, bold themes & challenging GE so changing the brass & percussion increases GE (general effect) become more part of the theme than uniforms. Some people like it, others don't. Uniforms their color & design one could easily identify the group. Now, have to figure out at times whos-who.
@@AximVidya absolutely not! But it IS gay to think those are “nice outfits”
@@THEUFOWHISPERER swear it even looks like they’re wearing makeup
The uniform designers for these groups really miss sometimes.
Only 1 burnt marshmello....
Well, I guess he said, “Not a step missed, and I’m lit like a lamp. What else you got?”
