Wrong brother. The blood of animals and of Jesus were meant for purging and cleansing from sin / pollution onto holiness because without holiness we shall not see God. God commands holiness. We need cleansing and deliverance from sin or we shall surely die. Atonement comes from Hebr kaphar. Kaphar should have been translated as purging or cleansing. Lev 16:30 gives the definition of kaphar - to cleanse from all sin and uncleanness before God. Kaphar in context often indicates cleansing, purging. Many translations use purging or cleansing in several places where kaphar is used. Atonement indicates covering sin / appeasing God / payment for sin, substitution, etc. and not purging or cleansing of sin. This is Satan's ploy through mistranslation to make people think they shall not die if they sin because the blood of animals and Jesus atone for continuing sin. How the blood of Jesus cleanses is shown in Zech 12:10- 13:9, Acts 2-4, 9 in Paul's experience, 1Pet2:24-25. Our sins grieve God, fall on Jesus and pierce and murder the body of Jesus, spill His blood / life. If we admit and confess with deep remorse that we pierced Him with every sin, repent, and make restitution, then God forgives, delivers and CLEANSES us from all sin, because we truly admit what sins did to our God namely hurt, martyred, spilled His blood and killed Him in our hearts. And He then fills us with His HOLY SPIRIT who constantly makes us look to Him whom we have pierced with sin and shall pierce again - that we may stop with sin, live for righteousness, be healed from the incurable leprosy of sin, stop going astray, return to our Shepherd and He oversees us and keeps us from stumbling. Halleluja! Glory to God!

This is an excellent presentation of the timeline of prophecy. I never realized the significance of Palm Sunday until this day. Praise God!
