    So I have been looking for polyester free cloth diapers and I cannot find them. Even all the GroVia ones I’ve looked at say that the inner liner is 100% cotton with a microfiber on top of that… 😕

    Thank for this review...we use esembly cloth diaper but my son is growing out of size 2 so I need a brand that accommodates a bigger 1 year old. These seem just as easy as the esembly brand.

    I use Ava pockets off Amazon and use a charcoal insert and microfiber on top when I stuff all my pockets. Can tell a huge difference from when I was strictly using disposable

    You bought raw milk to cook it later because you don’t want to use pasteurised milk. pasteurisation is basically cooking in over 60 or 70 degrees.

    My son seems to be sensitive to the all and ones. He doesn’t seem to be dry with the organic cotton. His skin feels moist and so far he only likes the hybrid shells with the booster (no prep). Is this normal for their skin to feel kind of moist?

    What cloth diaper inserts are you using the organic ones or the no prep ones?

  • @scottiebumich

    seems that romperoos is the best diaper all around if you're able to put up with the insert type.

    Interesting. I use instant pot but I always stir in the yogurt cold with a bit of cold milk right at the beginning, then dump in the rest of the milk, turn it on, cover, and let it do its thing till done. Never had a problem with it not fermenting. Also I use cheesecloth to drain and it gets quite thick in a few hours. 5-6hrs for a super thick yogurt.

      So, this same brand, but you just put two inserts instead of one for night time? I’m thinking of getting these, or do you use a different brand.

    I Have a question, about storing in the buckets. I just ordered 25lb wheat berries. Bought the buckets & gamma lids. Is there anything to do besides pour bag into the buckets? I just picked up the drop today, the big wheat bags were cold to touch. It’s My first drop & i’m not certain I’m doing this right. I read stuff about storing & that you had to freeze it before put in bucket or use oxygen absorber, which I didn’t get yet. Any tips welcome please!

    • @meganmacadam5235
      @meganmacadam5235 2 года назад

      I tend to freeze my flours and dry goods generally because 3 days in the freezer kills off all micro bugs/eggs that could be in there (gross I know!!). I do know that the type of bugs that tend to live in dry goods are completely harmless. So I don’t always freeze everything. As far as oxygen absorbers, I haven’t looked into that yet because I’m not storing anything long term enough to need them. I will go through my flours/ beans/ oats within a few months so I don’t feel I need them. I’m sure there is really helpful info out there on these questions, probably even on the azure website!! I’m with you really just starting the journey & learning too!!

    Thank you for the walkthrough! I am pregnant and fell into the endless cloth diaper research pit haha. I got two different organic ones already but will give these two a try too now! So hard to find info about organic cotton ones. Most people seem to use the synthetic ones which I am trying to avoid…

    Actually the grovia one was my over night win! I didn’t love the fit but they held enough. My kid stoped peeing much at night about one and a half years old.

    Hi Megan, thank you for this review! My recommendation for overnight cloth diapering is to use quick absorbing inserts (e.g. bamboo viscose) with hemp-blend inserts underneath (e.g. Geffen hemp fleece prefolds or (for easier washing) flat jersey or fladdle) or hemp-bamboo/hemp-cotton fitted diapers (which provide added protection around the legs but can become smelly over time because of there being several layers of fabrics sewn together, e.g. by Sloomb). Regarding roomy covers to cover up the extra fluff there are two brands I would recommend: Blueberry Capri covers and Button Diapers Super covers. If you want to save some money, you can also make some flats yourself (look for Jay's Nest's video on DIY stretchy flats). Fabrics that contain the super-absorbent fiber hemp are available at e.g. Nature's Fabrics and Simplifi Fabric. Greetings from Europe! Stef

      I use pocket diaps that go to 50lbs so I can add all the fluff. Your material suggestion was super helpful to me. My toddler is peeing through everything at night and I was essentially at a loss for what combo to do. So thank you.
