Focused Attacks rune: you gain 3 energy anytime you deal a melee or ranged critical strike.

The blade of eternal darkness for mages gives them infinite mana when used correctly and that was available in vanilla and still is in classic. This fan of knives, felstriker and focused attacks combo has also been in use since original wrath. These are extremely specific class/item interactions and can't be cited as examples of how sod or wow is unbalanced in general.

Felstriker is closer to 2%, here's how I did it; I got the key for UBRS, then I made the raids myself (easy, everyone wants UBRS now), I HR Felstriker and Master Loot Rend. Took me 30-35 runs to get it. About 3 evenings of farming. Do this and you will always get the dagger WHEN it drops.

Or find a good healer can solo heal and you solo tank make the raid reserve it and you for sure will have the best. Up to you how you decide to play and also the outcome with it.

No, felstriker proc regardless if which hand it's in, but the Goblino Noir is main hand only and does more dps than distracting dagger.

1) Carnage rune now heals the rogue for 30% of Rupture AND Crimson Tempest damage. 2) Mages have always been the kings of crazy solo farming, their AoE, CC, and Movement abilities allow them to do incredible things. Paladins also have new and interesting capabilities in SoD that can allow them to do thier own farms. That being said, I love rogue solo stealth farms and developing them is so much fun. Depends on your preference but if you like tanking farms, play with the Paladin runes and develop something new!

They tend to work better the more you practice - I remember learning to aoe farm for the first time as a mage; I kept dying and I couldn't understand how people did it so effortlessly. I kept at it and kept reaching new breakpoints where I suddenly understood range, timing, spacial awareness, cooldowns, etc in ways that I didn't before. Now I love theorycrafting and practicing the theory to make new farms. Stick at it!

I always go engineering as you have access to trinkets and items that allow you to do creative and technical things that are not possible any otherr way. If you want to learn or develop new farms and tricks, you have to have engineering. My second spec is alchemy, mainly holding out for some new items that will add more value to these kinds of farms. If we don't get any interesting alch recipes soon, i'll switch to enchanting so I can DE items from DMN Tribute and make lots of gold.

Go with whatever you want frankly. I do enchanting/mining on my rogue - leatherworking has some amazing gear too (but it does get replaced in MC fairly quickly). I like enchanting because I need the rep grinds and it's helpful to have and I'm lazy about finding enchanters.

Honestly, I wouldn't attempt this farm on HC, waaaay to risky. The 3rd vein on the bats area is easy, the first vein in the trolls area, the 2 veins beside the big platform in the troll boss area. These are the easiest veins. But you would be better off doing open world farming in HC, way safer and probably more gold per hour as you wont get the easy ZG veins in every reset. Good luck!

Combat is what Im using exclusively for the past month, AR+BF is great for burning down 2 mobs at once, also useful for Durgan. You're right about Poisoned knife, it's a great puller, instant cast means less time for mob to path closer to another mob (slow ranged weapons greatly increases scuffed pull). However, I still prefer step as it has a much faster CD than sprint so you can step multiple novas in each pull.

@@roguesdiary SoD bosses have +40% hp and in SoD for long time you will not have raid gear a specialy Perdition's Blade And you basically die when tried to kill Satyr boss in SoD with full WB, when full WB is more stronger than just raid gear without WB, and gear on PTR is not that bad

From reading the various news articles on wowhead, my hunch is that the plans will still drop from grimaxe but the upgrade will happen through a crafting or reputation mechanic. Not confirmed in any way, we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, I'm also not a fan of the changes to class, rogues should not be able to heal.

I agree, rogue healing is ridiculous and doesn't fit the class fantasy at all. I'd rather they removed it but as long as it's in the game, i'll find ways to use it creatively.

So all was complitely fine when rogues was solo clearing 40+ mobs at once in Karazhan and Black Temple using the trinket + fan of knives spam to heal themselfs in WoTLK, but now... Now its a criminal microsoft that destroys our precious game... right?
