" Lighten up Francis " People need to remember that this was a TV drama not a PBS documentary . The nit pickers and amateur historians should take a breath too . This series as good as it was was based on a book written 60 years after the war ended . The book was based on many sources , interviews etc. As the commercial used to say : " Your mileage may vary ". It was inspiring and entertaining and if it encourages our youth to read further on the war years and our history in general then that is a good thing .

So... calling out the position of each flak shell would have been utterly pointless. So would flying straight without changing altitude by even 200 - 300 ft to get out of the flak zone. The enemy needs time to readjust their range and these pilots should know that.

I really love this movie and I feel like they paid a lot of attention to the Cohen brother's O' Brother Where art Thou which is set in a similar setting to songbirds and snakes( Appalachia in the thirties and forties). They also did use keep on the sunny side which was also in O' Brother, where art thou.

This series was spectacular, much better than Godzilla vs Kong and Godzilla x Kong the new empire. This series is at the level of Godzilla King of Monsters, although Godzilla appears little, the human plot is good, especially the one from the past. And when Godzilla appears, he not only does it in a fucking epic way, but the CGI used has a brutal quality, and the soundtrack is also spectacular. Thank you Apple TV+ for giving us such beauty.
