AIR CANNON ASSISTS IN AC JOURNEY TO THE TOP
Were you using the same system MRS on the way up the tree, and then transitioned to SRS tethered to the spar on the way down? Also cool trick with unloading the not dump trailer. Did you just girth hitch the line around the load with the carabiner and then bowline to your anchor to unload?
Thanks for watching! Yes you guessed right on all the above. This was the first and smallest of a 4 pine tree job, trying to get time to edit one of the bigger ones where I challenged myself to get it on the ground using only a harbor freight battery saw. Also have some footage talking about that hitch a little bit, will be nice to get that posted.
What's that SRT setup with the dmm ring? Thats super cool
Thanks! Search for synergy hitch, guy called @Knot-orious came up with it. It really does work on a single line, pretty neat
@@metzgerbass Thank you!

YAY! I am amazed at your skills and work ethic! You make it look easy!
Thanks so much 🙏🙏🙏 trying to get some time to put one of the other trees footage together soon
Send em over, I'll edit. 😄

nice removal tree on a nice day!!
Thanks for watching! was great weather
🙂👍
Thanks for the comment!
When you're Spiking up the tree.Take your climbing line and attach it to a carabiner on the left or right side of your harness behind one of your hips.It keeps your climbing line away from your feet and you don't spike it when you're on your way up the tree
Good tip! Thanks for watching

Chonks and chonks of treeeeeez
what was that thing on your flipline that "hugs" the tree looks like it helps to stay stable? looks super handy to have, thanks. great video!
Hey thanks for the comment! Some people call that a floater, mine is basically just an eye to eye prusik cord with a carabiner. The more I get into this business the more I love to have extra prusiks hanging around. I think the one I have on that flipline is by gm climbing and comes in a 3 pack for about $30. If you want to shorten or lengthen it just add or remove wraps on the cord. It sure does add stability and makes the flipline more of a cinching anchor when tied.
Any issues with the china saw?
Thanks for asking! The Holz 200t clone I replaced the start recoil thingy. I haven't had any issues yet with the bigger Holz 372xp yet, but unfortunately had to rebuild the Neotech 660 clone after the first job with it lol
I like the dual handtruck tool!
🪩🤩🐙Thanks!
This seemed to be a healthy tree? It seems these days people hire hatchet men to chop down trees as if it were a lawn. Don't get me wrong, last year I paid a local logger $300 to cut down a dying Hemlock that would've squished my truck in the driveway for sure .
Yep they had us do this only because it was between the two houses. I kept several logs from this job that I'll be milling into boards, but yeah it never feels super great to take something out early like that. Next week I have a leaner with roots pulled up on one side, that one will be justified lol.
@@metzgerbass, it would be cool to see what you make with the wood.
@@Paul-ji9gv thanks! I'll definitely share. I'll try to get a couple shorts together too of the way I split some recent cedar logs on site after finding them too heavy to move with dollies
Very good job, nice work. I have a hard time with those trees as well. Leaning like that they're a pain to get up
Thank you! Yeah hoping I can eventually trust my climb line enough to go up on the side / sideways but I seem to always try to keep some of my weight on the stem just in case.
@@metzgerbass Yeah, I know what you mean, especially if you don't have a tie in, they really suck.
How do you get those giants balls all the way up there
Lol giants balls <3
epic video bro. just wanna suggest in the beginning, you wanna get into the video right away since a lot of viewers only give people a few seconds to convince them to watch, and since the beginning is some goofy movie clips, they might not get it. great sounds though, the video was very good
Tru I think I will drop the intros on the next one
What size bar is on the chainsaw?
16" bar on there, thanks for watching!
Have these people ever looked left or right at a stoplight in their lives? They’d know what actually takes place
I wonder if these self appointed police get mad at the loads of folks on the road who are ACTIVELY trying to kill you and themselves intentionally. With both hands on the wheel.
You really wast able to find 60 seconds in yoyr day to do this while not driving?
Well tbh I tried it twice, the second take a few minutes later without the engine running didn't have the same magic so I went with this one. Thanks for watching ❄️🐙⚒️🌲🪵🪴
Yea a lot of people are going to cry over this 😂
Hey it's more comments than I usually get ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Brother just pull over
Thx mang 🙏
You are opening yourself up for a lot of hate by doing this while driving I appreciate the tip but please record while parked/at home so everyone is safe.
Make sure you subscribe so I can do a more gooder one just for you 🪵🛸⚒️ thx bro
The most pointless video and while driving. Very confusing
Sounds like you liked it 🙏 Thx bro

I've never seen nobody. Use a Caribbean for double rope for a redirect. I'm gonna use that great job
Thanks man, it's probably not the smoothest thing since the doubled ropes are touching, but it's quick and easy setup. I recently got that weaver speedline kit and it seems like I've been using the slings for everything but actual speedlining lol.
@@metzgerbass I know right, buddy? I have a few slings as well. I hardly ever speed line. I don't know why but yeah I understand.
omg its neddy
☃️❄️ Noodleston
Here from Neddy! I'm a lineman myself, so this looks enjoyable to me. Must be a nice job. Im going to start considering this as a side gig for myself in the future maybe. Do you sell the wood you cut as firewood afterwards? And how much do you charge for a job like this, if you dont mind me asking?
Hey! Thanks for watching! Yeah my main gig is Hvac, so this is very nice. You get to touch the nature for once and it sure is nice. I charged $150 for this which was probably far too little but it looked fun so I went for it since it was a repeat customer and really close by. A lot of my whole tree removals are about $1000 each for a medium/reasonable size. We're gonna do an upcoming willow oak removal in the next couple weeks for $2k which is also pretty cheap lol. But yeah overall it's very satisfying. You'd kill at it if you're already used to the heights and stuff. ❤️🤘
I just picked up one of those climbing saws and am eager to see how it runs ... in your vids looks pretty close to the 200t
Spencer! Thanks for watching! So far so good with the holz 200t clone. I'd imagine you'll like yours. I don't have much to compare it to other than my friend has a 194t and they seem to run similarly when we're cutting the same wood. No complaints yet. I bought a Neo-tec 660 clone and I killed it the first day I had it lol. Ordered new can and piston with rings for $32, swapped them out and it has been pretty sweet since, even doing a little milling with it. Always looking out for your next video! (you should review the holz in it) 🤘
@@metzgerbass I put a stihl bar on mine and it's not fitting great ... may have to cut it down a bit ... we'll see!
@metaspencer Yeah man the clearances were looking a little sketch when I first put mine on, little too snug but after a few on and offs now it's acting right. Can't remember exactly but it seemed like it was around the mounting bolts?
@@metzgerbass yeah just kinda snug ... time for the wd40! haha
Good ol "When in Doubt 40". I made some dogs for this saw based on the west coast saw design, bro I'll send you a set to go with your review video. Should call them "east coast saw poor man's dogs" No joke my cell is 803-504-8569
Aye man. Lovely video. Very interesting. Coming over from Neddy the noodle's community post, watched your vid while playing a silly dinosaur game. Subscribed.
Bro thanks!! Neddy is next level, he's Lil bro but I look up to him lol
@metzgerbass Mmm, I feel you on that. I look up to my little brother too. Dude is amazing. Of course man. Entertaining content, watched to the end, you're doing amazing. Keep at it bro, truly.
Cool. What kind of knot do you have on your prusik? I only ever used a VT. Also have you tried using a quickie? I use it now for similar trees to set up a canopy anchor. It’s retrievable, doesn’t damage cambium and great for SRT.
Thanks for the comment 🤘Yes I love the notch quickie. And yeah I regretted not going SRT on this job after a few feet of ascending at basically half speed lol. I really just wanted to try that friction saver. I think my prusik was tied in a knut or maybe the reverse of that, not sure. I normally climb on a rope runner but just wanted to play around a little with the hitch climber. There are so many configurations in this field I'm kinda loving it. I probably have more gear and options than someone at my experience level should have but just kinda enjoying learning and trying different things.
Impressive bro you a wild one
Thanks bro!! Was a pretty simple and easy task but that didn't stop me from fumbling around quite a bit lol
Yeahhhhhhh Chopping Mall 😂🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I saw some unusual stuff in this video that I've never seen before, which is why I've subscribed! hard work payin' off ... stay safe!
Big tree man! good to see yas out there gettin' it done ... some may say "don't drop 'em in the street" but I say there are a lot of ways to get the job done
Thanks bro! Yeah after leaving a mark in the black top on this job I have since made efforts to not hammer the concrete lol
