SOLO Camping, Cooking, & Fishing - WOW - the Ocean 10 ‘ tide got me bad!!
Freya and I canoe across a lake in Alaska to explore and attempt camping by a crashed Military C-47 Skytrain aircraft. The fish where not biting and the no see ums (bugs) where very affectionate come nightfall. I seriously miss-judge the tide the cook fire goes out twice, then the water reaches the tent. Here is some info I found on the web about the crash.

This was a awesome camp out our German Shepard. She will definitely provide some entertainment for you! She is a low drive working class.... Low drive...? Great family dogs just need to be worked. Love the dog. I had a sheperd many years ago that was also obsessed with "stick..throw" Working dogs can be extremely focused. It was a time when I was young and had lots of friends that would also be around in camp. They would play with Rommel all day til he found a nice cool stream to lay in. Good times. Lovely video.

I'm sure you love your dog, but I wouldn't have a dog that wasn't behaved, especially in a place that could have bears.

Greetings from Finland, the native country of your Rapala fishing lure ;-) I liked your video, but it also caused a lot of worries, for the safety of your dog, the beautiful Freya. Have you considered the severe risks for her legs when leaving a saw on the ground? Or when asking her jump into your canoe, where the sharp hooked fishing lure was on the bottom? You throw a lot of twigs for Freya. The movement of your hand is the same when you throw the fishing lure, so it is not a surprise that Freya is keen in the fishing lure. Please take a while to consider how you could avoid risks for your beautiful dog not to get wounded by your tools or your fishing equipment. I've been happy to share my life with my canine friends since 2002, currently with several of them. Wishing all the best to you, your family and Freya 🙂
Thank you for your reply. I am finish as well, from northern MN originally. My moms side of the family is all from Finland. I did see the saw in the video and noticed I didnt hang it up. MY BAD for sure. I have been trying to teach her to not react to the fishing rod being casted and she has gotten better but has a ways to go. some how youtube served up your channel. I just suscribed. I hardly ever comment on any channel but I had so many belly laughs watching Freya I had to comment. I´ve had lab dogs all my life and enjoy each state of their life. I´m currently on my #6 lab and we´re both old now and I´m retired. Woke up grabbed a coffee and watched your video. Just relaxing and watching you trying to chill and camp..... good editing skills... enjoying the routine and then Freya drops another stick in your video... how can you not throw it into the water or the woods.... Enjoy her young energy.... before your know it she will be old and mellow. Just a suggestion, you´re young like Freya. Grab a thumb drive and after uploading your videos to RUclips turn around and download them to the drive. Over the years as you grow and add videos to the thumb drive you will have a valuble herloom to pass on to you kids and grandkids. Just thoughts from an old man.... John
