"City pop" talked about the joy of life and nightlife, love, happiness, an endless paradise that had to be enjoyed very fast and very lively, before the decade finishes and 90s come...

It is odd. I was born in Japan in 1982 my family moved from Fussa in 1984. Son of a Unites States Air Force Senior Airman. I don't remember anything from then. Or do I? This music ALWAYS makes me feel content. Lets me sleep peacefully. I was a foreign exchange student in 1994-1996 and I don't recall listening to this era of music. But something connects me to it. Makes me feel happy. I can't speak Japanese and I get the gist of what is said in anime that is not translated. Maybe I should learn speaking the language properly. I've always wanted to move to Japan. Am I just weird, different or an oddity?
