Theres a family of foxes living right next to my house... like literally 50 steps away. Ive never heard them make this sound until tonight...scary 😱

I looked this up to make sure it was the same, and it sure is. Just heard this in my woods tonight. We had a fox family living under my shed, but that was about 2 years ago and no one ever came back until tonight! Im so excited to have them back this year.

Me and my roommate just got back from a 13 hours shift, 3:45 in the morning full of Waffle House. We get out at home and hear this… i carry a p365 xmacro at all times and I had my 300 blk in my trunk. When I tell you I handed him my pistol and grabbed the rifle faster than the speed of light! I thought somebody was getting attacked in my backyard

Holy crap i just realized, imagine you start domesticating a wild fox, and it's hungry in the middle of the night so it walks up to your house, puts its paws on the door, and starts screaming it's heart out at 03:00, just right outside your freakin door dude XD

Heard this last night and was fairly sure it was a fox. Even though I knew, still quite frightening.

One day i heard this sound around 4am . I jumped out of my bed and went to my parents room they also heard this sound . We thought something happened to our neighbour. We got scared and checked all around outside but nothing happened🫡. Then later found out it was fox.

There's bound to be a camper with a RUclips channel out there, recording a video with the title, "WHAT is that?! I BAILED." 😅

I can see why early settlers would think there were monsters or demons roaming the woods at night with sounds like this.

I just heard this outside my house opened my door and my cat was ready to come in. Safe to say it was a close call. There’s been a fox around the house this year. The last few years we had a bunch but everyone ran them over bc our road is so narrow and windy. I’m glad they are back I just don’t want them to eat my cat.

I know what a vixen sounds like, despite this the horrific sound I heard outside just now - very like this - had me convinced I'd not shut all my chickens away and a fox had got a hen. Sheesh, brown trousers moment. Thinking a cat probably had a standoff with the fox.

Geez I have a few foxes at night that wake me up with their crying, I always think that someone got injured or murdered because of the loud noise

Yeah in Ireland when people walked a lot of places, sometimes at night, we'd have many stories of banshees - animals can sound really eerie making sounds like this at night LOL

I had a nightmare this night and since its summer i sleep with my windows open, and right when i woke up from my dream i hear 2 screams like this😢 i was terrified, it sounded like a lady getting attacked or something. I hope it was just a fox since i live in an area with woods
