The only reason this shit ass alpha has "insane funding" is because people can't control their impulse to buy the overpriced crap. Kind of like drug addicts. I didn't mess with any settings... actually, I was not even looking to test or see these water effects.. I was on the hunt for some armour and just noticed them as I was flying over the water, looking for a place to dispose of a body :)

I’m unsure what you had your graphics set to but make sure that the water one in graphics is set to “Very high” for the best results. If that didn’t fix the issue I genuinely don’t know.

Yeah, pretty much. I took off from that small island and forgot to raise it. Probably better, as kept speed down and thus kept me from crashing into the water! lol

first free fly i tried was in 2020 and I had a 1050ti back then, could run it around 25-30fps just to fly around on planets and stuff, area 18 was terrible though. A ps5 gpu is about the same as an RX 6800, with its fast internal SSD which can be used as ram, speedy ram and decent cpu, i'm sure it can run this game. It's not reliable on anybody's machines currently anyway so its barely an argument worth having.

​@@noodle_Cxstar citizen is cpu heavy (I can manage 60fps now that I have a 5800x3d) so the ps5 would crap it's pants. Also the new lighting system is coming and that will be heavier for sure.

It would be able to if the engine itself wasn't absolute garbage for optimizations. Really at the end of the day the game is simply unoptimized. As for these particular water physics? It's not new technology, it's just tessellation and it's been around for ages. They tout it like it's some crazy feature but in reality it's just not. There's really not much about this game that really is "pushing the envelope" it's just big and that's not really that impressive.

Thanks! It's been so long and so many updates to EDHM that the Shipyard was reset and no clue where the file is cause my custom name was wiped. Anyway, I'll see what I can do. I can say I always start with Cornflower Blue and just tweak it from there. o7o7

I just couldn't get into this game. No offense to anyone who loves this game. I just think that after 10 years and literally millions in funding, it shouldn't have as many bugs as it does and only a few planets you can actually visit...it was a dissapointment. I played for about 10 hours and just couldn't get into it. Kept dying and everytime I did, I lost all my inventory and had to go rebuy everything. I'd summon my ship in the dock and some random player would hop in and take off in it. So I discovered I could lock it, but when I did, I ended up locking myself out and had to basically buy a new ship. Luckily, the player base is decent and not all that toxic and someone actually sent me like 9 mill credits. But other than that, the game is beautiful. It's just dissapointing that the dev team is so slothly about the game. It felt like a long term cash farm to me. Idk, I didn't have any friends to play with though so maybe that was the issue. But even still, I hate having to have friends to play a game. I have friends but none play it.

@@jamesvan2201 star citizen is extremely unfriendly game for new players, without help or guiding hand you will struggle on literally everything. but once you will figure out the basics, it's all become much more easier and more interesting. yeah, there are only few planets and one solar system but man....they all are populated and projected - not like in starfield where you can run for 30 minutes and find nothing and nobody. every planet, station and big city can be visited and there is always something to find or discover. without any single loading screen (only if you die you will see it). devs might feel slothly with fixing bugs etc, but at least we can see them working together with keeping promises as well. Once 3.21 will be live - i suggest you to give it another chance and ask for guidance at start so you won't be confused by literally everything around

You can join me for whatever... we can find stuff to do. However, I might be leaving SC after the next wipe. I am done with wipes and losing everything I've grinded for. Not something I am willing to keep have happening, and no, I find NO JOY in wipes and grinding all over again. But, until then, just friend me in game "XOTX", and we can go do whatever for now.

The *Eclipse* It's a PvE monster with those torps! It can even take some solid hits on it. It's also just a great looking ship! Definitely in my top 3 favorite ships to fly PvE ERTs!

I get it. The combat is not as varied as in Elite. The game could use PA's and Rails. Basically what SC has, compared to Elite is MC's, Lasers, Frags and Torps. And it also has Distortion weps, which are like Lasers with built in Flechettes 😉
