My ableton starts recording as soon as i click capture midi or red pad in column that is selected/armed. Even when i set count in to 1 or 2 bars prior to recording. But when i press record button in ableton, it does count in regularly. Can you help me with this? Thanks.

hi Viktor. I have a very simple question. when ı do everything you show, it works perfectly but when ı try to listen to it or try to get it exported for the video, it only comes up with everything playing at the same time. So how can i record the complete session the way i play with the timings and everything and not get all of them layed out all together?

Do you think the X is still a good choice? I'm a little bit worried, because my launchpad mk2 broke fairly quickly (the usb kept disconnecting.) I don't want the same to happen if I bought one again.

That record button being available in note mode is very useful. I have a (barely working) launchpad mk2, and there isn't a stop-record button, you have to really quickly switch back to session view and tap the correct clip, which usually means you have a bar or two of empty space at the empty of the clip.

Nice Guide. Last firmware update you were able to add custom keyboard shortcuts to pads. I was able to create a custom instrument and map a shortcut to "left" and "right" arrows and also create a session record button. Also creating a text file to auto enable record arm when track is selected with the arrows.

Wooow great performance. Why do you prefer using the major thirds tuning? I do too, but I've seen that most pad instrumentalists use the tuning based on perfect fourths, almost like a guitar.

Nice video! Can you make a start to finish tutorial on how to set up a launchpad x to Logic Pro for finger drumming and set your custom sounds, the settings that you use on the launchpad etc? Also if you could show how to finger drum connected to an iPhone with GarageBand or android so I can finger drum on the go as well, it would be awesome to see those, thanks! :)
