@@Rubfly_Aviation I disagree. I’ve flown on many Boeing 737’s and never heard this level of noise coming from the brakes. It is more common in Boeing 737 MAX’s to make this noise so I’ve been told.

@@Jamestheavgeek1 no The brand of the brakes can also play a role. I had the same noise on a 737 ng after that it depends on each aircraft and the maintenance it has had.

@@Rubfly_Aviation They must be fitted on mostly Ryanair aircraft then. I fly Jet2 the most and the brakes didn’t sound like this on their 737-800’s

@@Jamestheavgeek1 after that it may be the brake model that Ryanair uses, because I had the same noise on a Ryanair 737 ng, and on all the other 737s I did not have this impression

There’s a good reason behind the clapping actually. Originally we were due to fly the day before however the plane broke so they had to send a replacement the next day. Most people were relieved that they were going home 😂

@@DeguMeister haha! Thanks for the comment, I use my iphone 11 for recording. I much prefer using my phone to record takeoff and landing since it picks up sound great and is more comfortable to hold than my camera which I use for planespotting. All i would recommend is when recording landing is to make sure the phone is securely held 😁

@@marekslopovsky466 great question! my phone which I record on picks up engine noise exceptionally well. On top of this an obvious reason will also be how much power the pilot puts in. The more power, the more noise. I hope this answers your question and thanks for watching. 😄

@@tomc951 given Skiathos is a very short runway, harder landings are often required to help decrease speed as well as maximum reverse thrust. In this case full reverse was applied however the touchdown was not significantly as hard as my past landings into Skiathos.

@@Luton-Mick ahh I bet! Unfortunately for me most 757 landings I’ve been in were minimal reverse thrust and not much braking . I can only remember once on Alpha Delta the Jet2 Boeing 757-236 landing back at LBA from DLM and we came down with a bang then instant braking but at the time I wasn’t recording my flights 🛬

@@vsevolodkrashchuk4358 it is very surprising, to say Santos Dumont is a whopping 350 metres shorter than Skiathos the performance of the 737 and the pilot has no room for errors when landing at either airport

Indeed, the landing I’ve had before when I’ve flown into skiathos was much more firm however I was sat directly over the landing gear on that flight.

That you very much for your kind comment! Regarding your question about weather this is a standard procedure in skiathos, TO/GA thrust is often applied to all takeoffs however a standing takeoff is a little more unusual. The reason it happened in this case was the weather on this day was hotter than usual for skiathos and the weight was at it’s maximum so we needed as much power as possible to get us off the ground.
