About 10 years ago, I went to my favorite Asian buffet restaurant, and saw a bunch of confused-looking patrons meandering around outside and talking among themselves. Come to find out, there was a strange, hastily made sign on the door that said, "CLOSED FOR REMODELING". That evening, there was a local news story detailing how the place had actually been shut down immediately by a health inspector, after it had earned the lowest score by a restaurant in history of our state! The next day, I happened to overhear a girl at work telling someone else that she and the particular inspector were very close friends, and that she had told her what she had found at the restaurant. I quickly interjected myself into the conversation and asked what the inspector had said. She slowly turned to look me in the eye, and then asked me if I had ever eaten there. I replied that I had indeed eaten lunch there, three days a week for several years. With that, a look of nausea and panic overwhelmed her, and she ran gagging into the nearest restroom. When she finally came out, her makeup was running and she looked rather peckish. She then told me in a distressed tone that she would never, ever tell me nor anyone else at work what her friend had said, for fear that it might someday get back to me. I was among the first in line when the place re-opened about a week later, and continued to patronize the establishment as I always had. Until several years later when I retired and left, the young lady, who had always seemed friendly enough, didn't talk to me or hardly even look my way, even if we happened to pass each other in the hallway.

Bodycam and dashcam footage shows an Indiana man being arrested after he allegedly drove a children’s electric car while under the influence on August 23. Authorities said an Indiana State Police trooper stopped the “Power Wheels Jeep” and observed that the driver, 51-year-old James McKee, appeared to be impaired. The trooper can be heard asking how to approach the situation considering McKee was driving a toy vehicle made for kids. McKee was arrested for suspected DUI when the trooper determined he was intoxicated after failing sobriety tests.
