Your drumming sounds great! Unfortunately your recording software doesn't agree, and that's why your audio is going quieter! Not sure what you're using, but your issue is to do with gain and compression. I recommend turning off or drastically lowering your compressor (0.75 per 1 decibel over threshold or even 1:1, instead of 2:1), and then lowering the gain instead of relying on the compressor until you're not getting any clipping during sound checks. If your software allows it, you should always finish editing by running the audio through a normalizer to "flatten" the sound a little bit so it comes out more even in volume. Hope this helps, and happy recording!
