A channel dedicated to model railroading, specifically N Scale, and the model railroad shows I've been a part of. As time has progressed I've also started to add railfan videos as well.
Canyon Therapy 70 Tehachapi Loop
One place I had wanted to visit was the Tehachapi Loop. I had seen videos of it and thought that it was cool. On the way to the NMRA 2024 convention we made a detour to the loop. I was able to catch two trains. I was hoping that I would have been able to get a few more but time was against us. But it was still cool to catch and see a few trains traversing the loop.

Canyon Therapy Episode 69 Barstow California Railroad Hump Yard & Western America Railroad Museum
Просмотров 75День назад
While on the way to the 2024 NMRA Convention we stopped off in Barstow California to rest and pick up the rest of the drive the following day. While there we visited the Railroad Hump Classification yard and watched it for a little bit. Then made our way by accident to the Western America Railroad Museum. Of course we could only walk around the outside and see the equipment as it was closed. Bu...
Newgate Mall Wasatch N Scale Layout 2024 Overview

As I hadn't had the chance to really run these RDC's on a layout yet. I figured that doing a last run on the club layout before taking it down on the last day at the mall was a good idea. So that is what I did, join me following the RDC's around and looking at the layout before we took it down. Unfortunately I had to replace audio due to copyrighted music and decided to just use audio from a tr...

The club was asked if we wanted to go back up and set up the layout in an open store front in one of the local Malls. We said yes and took the layout up to set up. It happens to be the largest layout that we have set up. Hence why the video is so long. Hopefully you enjoy it! #railway,#railfanning,#railroad,#railfan,#trains,#modelrailroad,#modelrailway,#modeltrains,#nscale
Canyon Therapy Episode 68 Cold Day Railfaning The Durango And Silverton
Просмотров 207Месяц назад
On an extra day that we spent on the fall trip to Durango I went out on my own and did some railfaning of the trains. I had debated on not going, which I am sure glad that I didn't as things were incredible given that it was cold out. I hadn't anticipated to go up into Silverton but we ended going up there and was able to catch the trains leaving. Everything looked awesome and worth going out f...

One thing that the friend and I had wanted to do when we were at the NMRA National was to try and visit the Belmont Shore model railroad club. Luckily they were doing an open house on the Saturday we were still there. My friend had been years ago and said that it would be worth the trip. With a few other friends we ended up heading over and visiting the club. I'm glad that we did as it was cool...
NMRA 2024 Surfliner Convention Layouts At The Train Show

Here is the video about the Train Show that took place at the NMRA Surfliner National Convention. While there was some frustration that the train show moving locations I felt that it was a good show and there were plenty of people that came to it. I was also lucky in that the to FreemoN modules that I had used in E24 were able to be utilized in the FreemoN layout as well. It ended up giving jus...

Im a little late in getting these videos up but during the NMRA 2024 Surfliner they had a bus tour that was going to Travel Town and the RailGiants museum. Being lucky to get to see 4014 a buch due to the close proximity when it heads west I wanted to see where the restoration started. It was a fun time as some friends had decided to go on this tour as well. The added bonus was the Garden Layou...

A little late on getting these videos out from the NMRA 2024 Surfliner national convention. But I was able to get them edited finally. While there I went on one of the layout bus tours and went to see a few different layouts. Here are some of the layouts from that. It was fun to see some new layouts from a different area. #railway,#railfanning,#railroad,#railfan,#trains,#modelrailroad,#modelrai...

A few months before this trip down to ride the Durango and Silverton I had been feeling that I needed to get it booked and make sure I invited my Grandpa to go with as he had wanted to go again. I asked and he was able to go the 2nd to last week that the railroad was running up to Silverton for the season. Tickets bought and room booked we made our way down there. There were some ups and downs ...
Canyon Therapy Episode 65 Tribute To Roy Smith

After trying to think of what I could do as a tribute to the late Roy Smith I finally figured out what I would do. On a trip I passed through Green River Wyoming and it hit me due to some luck. I was able to catch two trains at the Green River Station going through a crew change and filmed the two of them departing. While to the side the local crew was doing work switching the yard. This is a s...

Canyon Therapy Episode 60 Chasing the Big Boy into Utah 2024
Love that scenery!
Cool you made it to Tehachapi. You got one off of your bucket list. A couple of nice catches. There are some cool spots in that area. Bob of Longshadows modeltrees lives there and he took me around.
Beautiful modules! Beautiful RDC's. Saw the Kato boxes for them. 🙂
They are beautiful. I wish this was the version Rapido was making. If it was I'd probably get them lol
@@Caboose121 Is that something new they are making? I'd love one in the old CP colours! But with newish DCC with sound.
Where is the club located?
We don't have a permanent location. But pretty much Northern Utah along the Wasatch Front.
@ thank you
Well done!
Very nice! Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.
love it
😊😊😊
The mine at 1:40 is so dynamic, and the active bulldozer at the "Eastern" loop just solved one of my own lay-out problems. Inspiring effort to say the least. Hope attendance made the effort worthwhile. Congrats to all.
Those modules are mainly together all the time as they are the same owner. People always spend a lot of time looking at them. Thank you for the kind words!
sweet !
I was thinking that I have not seen a video in awhile, too long… this is fun. I want to see this in person
Yeah it was a fun time. It was good to see you up there.
That’s awesome the mall gets you folks to set up in an empty store. What a better way to get new people into the hobby. And see how life like you can make your layout look. Great share have a great day and Merry Christmas to you all
Yeah its a cool thing that we've been able to do. Many people stopped in and were amazed at the layout.
I enjoyed the video. It's interesting, as I'm watching your video I'm thinking to myself, "he videos layouts the same way I do ...cool!"
Good size crowd on that train, nice video, thanks for sharing.
Yeah this was the 2nd to last week of the season trips to Silverton so I think a lot of people were trying to get in a last trip.
Where did you get the train set from I want to get one myself lol
It is a run from Kato
What scale is this?
N scale
Excellent view caboose121 nice overhead angle video Thanks for sharing Have a great rest of your day
Glad you enjoyed it!
really cool scenes there, looks like a great club :)
From what I could tell in the short time I was there it's definitely a good club.
WOW .... That Is Gorgeous!!!!
Great looking show, Lots of fun, Thanks forsharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome layout!
That has to be the most luxurious train on that layout currently.
Pretty close
Great overhead view train meet DPU wow stacked container trains Thanks for sharing and have a great rest of your day 😎🚂🫵 TSM
Thanks! It was a lucky catch.
One of these days I'll make it out to the Colorado Model Railroad Museum. Thanks for sharing!
Definitely need to get out of there it's amazing.
There's some really great looking models there! Hope I'm able to attend in the future!
Awesome share cool scenery
It is an awesome place to see for sure!
Great video and thank you!
You're welcome. Thanks for organizing the RPM!
This look really good on my tv
big blues look awesome. Just saying
It is a nice paint scheme
Quad, because there is one on the very top behind the trees.
With four powered locos, I’m surprised you’d get stalls. I would’ve thought the locos that were still getting power would push the stalled unit through. Guess there must have been some fairly large sections that had bad wiring or dirty track.
For the most part things behaved nicely. Just every so often there was a slight hiccup but then they started right back up.
Nice, That things in a hurry!
Great power and great catch! 👍
man those lights are bright.. get some rail cars in that yard and she be a masterpiece. well close to
Yeah, I need to get a potentiometer or something like that to be able to turn them down. Its on the to do list, but keeps getting pushed further down since they work lol. I want to get it finished up but I also want to work on the home layout. Realized I haven't worked on it in a good while.
Cool update Camron.
So many baby tankers! Lots of really nice modules too!
Saddly I need a few more to get back on the layout lol. There were a lot of very nice modules there at the event.
Beautiful scenery
Thanks!
That is a lot of shorty tankcars, neat
How many passenger cars is on the train? 12? 15?
I'm not sure on that one. I believe 12 for this trip but I know they have more than that they can pull from.
Detail is spectacular! Love the whole thing.
It is an amazing layout!
WOW, I did not realize they used the BB for freight...even if a special circumstance I would think highly unusual and a great catch!
Yeah the freight cars are the ones they hauled into California. Then they swapped out for the passenger cars for the fundraiser, and sent the freight consist to Ogden UT. Then once it returned to Ogden they swapped back. It was definately cool to catch it with something other than the passenger consist!
Very cool , massive space , big layout
That it was. I was blown away with the size.
Awesome!
That it was!
Wow that is really cool Cameron. Looks like a great event, great space.
It was a great time. I'm normally there with another group so it was definately different and fun to be to there with the Free-moN group.
Very cool!
I use similar signals but the green is so bright compared to the red (in my case). I’m concerned the resistor will not give the LED enough power to illuminate. Do you have any other ideas for dulling the brightness?
Sorry, I forgot to say nice work on the video.
Thank you! The only other thing that I could think of to use would be a Potentiometer. That way you could get a better control on the brighness. But that would depend on how your signals were wired up.
This is N scale correct? If so where did you get your Dwarf signals with Green/Yellow? Thanks
Correct N Scale, but for this I scaled them up a little bit to help them be seen from a farther distance. I got the stl off of thingiverse for the signals and built them with small LED's to get the green and yellow.
Thanks for sharing. At time point 3:18 you point out the camera car? What is it? Where can I get it for my layout.
It is an SQ13 mini camera that I took apart and put onto a depressed center flat car. You don't absolutely have to take it apart if your scenery isn't terribly close to the tracks but I was finding a few places it was catching. It was easier to just open it and remove the case to get it to not hit that scenery.
@@Caboose121 Thanks. I think I would like to get one. Anything I need to know to use it on my layout, and in a train?
R the dwarf signals n or ho scale? They do look great.
The original stl I printed was N. I did make them bigger though to help give enough room for the LED's I was using and to be seen from a farther distance.
Thanks for the response.
Why not 3D print mounts for the slide switches & signals ??
Switches, I wanted to be flush as I could to the base and being time constrained when building the modules I didn't think about it. Could I go back and do it maybe, but not necessarily needed. Signals I wanted at track heigth so a little spare cork worked for that.
