You didn’t have both spark plugs out you need all spark plugs out to maximize air intake and it will increase your readings but it doesn’t really matter because at the end of the day if you have one low cylinder then do open throttle yes the low one will raise but so will the other so it will still be low.

I recommend pulling the starter apart and lubricating the inside bearings. I had to do this before and it's still turning perfectly.
True that would be better but I'm too lazy and this starter wasn't very stuck

My outi darken didn't darken for the confusion sun so I had to go old school

Works fantastic as long as your auto darkening actually detects the sun and darkens for you 😂😂. Mine worked fine
Dude I promise welding arc is brighter than the sun I get arc flashed running 30 volts and it’s game over but I can look at the sun for a sec and not have a giant black hole in my vision for like a minute

Ur a bonehead its so much safer than some cheap Chinese glasses run a shade 12 or above and ur set the welding arc is brighter than what the sun is from earth running 30 volts will sunburn you after 30 seconds of exposure without a jacket

Pretty cool. Only thing is railroad spikes are typically pretty low carbon so idk how well it’ll take and keep an edge but it’s definitely a cool novelty

Last time I worked on one of these I had the fire extinguisher beside me… Definitely useless if it exploded but for peace of mind… the one huge spark that came out of the exhaust freaked me out… thankfully it didn’t catch on fire or worse. Definitely high when those were designed.. like the Ford pintos
I know most railroad spikes aren't high carbon steel, did you use a known high carbon steel railroad spike? If not, have you ever experimented with case hardening? It's great for ornamental pieces like this that you'd still like to use as a tool.
I don't use these knives as edc so I'm not too worried about I believe the spikes I use are the hc ones but I use those spikes because they are larger than the other ones. For hardening I generally water quench then temper the blade nothing crazy. If you would like I can make a full video explaining the process I use
