How I Invaded A City With Concrete Lego Like Figures
I have wanted to invade a city with lego like figures made from concrete for a long time and finally got around to it. As I couldn't find moulds that looked the way I wanted I ended making my own with 3D printing and a silicon mould making kit.

I 3D Printed A Huge Lego Inspired Darth Vader
Просмотров 9 тыс.2 года назад
After 3D printing an oversized Lego inspired Luke Skywalker for Star Wars day last year I decided to add a Darth Vader for this year. I put them out for a few hours on the 4th of May on Aberdeen Esplanade in Scotland. All parts were printed on a Prusa MK3. The light saber is lit up using an LED strip which is controlled by a teensy 3.2 and a prop shield. This also controls the audio and the ser...
I Built Luke's Tatooine Home
Просмотров 3,5 тыс.2 года назад
I wanted to get some photos of Luke's Lego landspeeder so built Lars homestead to use as a backdrop. It was mostly 3D printed with a lot of filling and painting. Just in case anybody goes looking for it, the temporary geocache is no longer there. It went out on the 13th of November and lasted a few weeks. I know a few people went and got a key ring which is awesome! Last year I hiked up a sand ...
LEGO Inspired Giant Working Space Computer
Просмотров 18 тыс.3 года назад
I wanted a working version of the classic blue LEGO computer/console. I couldn't find anybody selling one so built one myself. The working version is about 6 times bigger than the original. The case is 3D printed and 3 of the buttons are functional. It has a number of different display modes including the original white cross on a green background, time, date and a little game. The micro contro...
Giant 3D Printed Working Luke Skywalker
Просмотров 6 тыс.3 года назад
To celebrate Star Wars day I 3D printed this giant Lego inspired Luke Skywalker. His lightsaber lights up, makes noise and his arm moves. Just over two weeks ago I decided to to build something to put out in my community on the 4th of May to celebrate Star Wars day. I optimistically Thought I could build a giant working Luke Skywalker. What followed was a rather busy and stressful two weeks. To...
I 3D Printed A Huge Lego Inspired Garden
Просмотров 4,9 тыс.3 года назад
Over the last few months I have been printing a giant 3D printed LEGO inspired garden and now it's time to put it all together. In January one on my favorite LEGO RUclipsrs, Minifig Jez (ruclips.net/channel/UClLS3m2ZsHOOq69A-Ggr_UA) was showing some 3D printed LEGO like flowers he had bought. Immediately I knew I needed to make my own 3D printed garden. Along the way I got a bit carried away an...
I 3D Printed A Lego Man Subscriber Display (Plus Clock)
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.3 года назад
So here it is a project I have been working on and off on for a few months. A totally custom 3D printed subscriber counter and clock. I thought that Minifigures would be a perfect use for numbers and feel it has worked out well. As somebody a little obsessed with numbers and Minifigures I thought it would only be right to build a custom RUclips subscriber counter. Now I can easily see how few s...
3D Printed Christmas Diorama

Happy Christmas. It's pretty hot here so no chance of snow, so I decided to build a little Christmas diorama that I put out in public. Most parts are 3D printed and not designed by me. see list below to find the models. I used some cheap solar lights to light up the tree and house. Custom 3D Printed LEGO Sized UAE National Day Sign
Просмотров 3623 года назад
On the 2nd of December it was national day in the UAE. To celebrate I built this custom LEGO size sign and put it out for others to enjoy. It was mostly 3D printed. It disapeared in just under 24hrs, I hope the new owner looks after it. National day marks the day that the 7 Emirates that make up the UAE joined together to make a single country. It is a very big celebration in the country with l...

I recently hit 100 followers on Instagram so decided to make a little video and scene to celebrate. I then had an idea of how to reuse some elements of the scene . I made some custom Lego sized motivational signs and put them out for others to enjoy. Thanks to all those already following me on Instagram. Custom Lego Sized Picnic Bench Scene
Просмотров 3754 года назад
This week I have been building this custom lego sized picnic scene. Complete with custom concrete picnic bench and Lego sized coffee mugs. This video covers the build process of that scene. I did put the scene out but it disappeared within a few hours. The project starts in Cinema 4D where I modeled the molds for the concrete parts and modeled the coffee cups. Then it was time to 3D print the m...

This week I have been building these awesome custom 3D printed Lego window cleaners. This video shows the build process that went into creating them. All parts other than the minifigures were designed and printed by me. They are currently out on Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, but I'm not sure for how long. A quick look at the build process behind my custom 3D printed Lego gardening diorama. All parts were custom 3D printed parts other than the minifigures. deventer is actually like 20 minutes away from me lol
come bac k i miss you
You need to make one of those for Adam Savage, he just made a video about how this is his favorite Lego piece since childhood
Wow great video & great project!
I remember this I din’t have time to look at them though
Just out of curiosity where did you find the outfit print? I’ve been searching for at least 2 days and haven’t found anything. Amazing job by the way. Also my suggestion next would be Darth Maul!
I made the graphics myself in photoshop from a reference photo.
5:56 This music reminds me of "No Russian".. its only the music.. Definitely not anything else..
i want more!!!!
Would you share those files so I can try that here in Minnesota I’d love to make molds like those there great hope you reply love your videos
Hey, I'm afraid I'm sharing the files, sorry.
@@SketchyMakeroh I understand there so cool was really hope you would say ya but you do great work on them just wanted to make some here at home I love Lego (: have a great day I’m a fan
I would love to do it in Brazil ...
I LOVE THIS ❤😍
Thank you 😊
Please come and invade Glasgow!! We really dig street art.
This video really inspired me to go on my own little city invasion with concrete figures. I went with the star wars theme. I made my first batch, and they look really cool, but some of them have loads of air bubbles. I will sort that out on the next pour. What kind of glue did you use to glue the figures to walls? Superglue or some kind of special glue for concrete?
That's awesome to hear! Have you posted photos anywhere? I have had a lot of requests for Star Wars characters. I used Soudal high tack glue but am going to try some other options next time.
Didn't post any photos yet, but I will get back to you when I do. I got my molds from Aliexpress. I have Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, X wing, Millenium Falcon and R2D2. I plan on sticking near tram stops so people waiting see them. Who wouldn't smile when they see a little concrete head of Vader. Thanks for the reply 😊
Now you made history bro
I'm from Mexico, the idea of "hide" small treasures like these around any city, feels so tempting. I'd love to replicate your idea over here. I'm not sure why or what would be the objective, but can't get it out of my mind. I already made a quick test, but I'm sure it needs some improvement to look like yours. Please PM me in case you want to see what I would be doing here. Thanks you!
next make them out of metal and weld them to buildings or metal poles you imbed in the ground with cement so they stay forever
It's a decent idea. I would need to learn a whole lot of new skills before I'm ready to do that though.
Did people steal them or did the town take them down?
I don't know for sure but I think just a person.
Next City? Strand, South Africa!! I will help!
Thanks for the suggestion. I would like to visit South Africa, just need to save some money first.
I did this in my neighborhood in Florida, except I welded up little stick men and attached them to street signs. Same result after a few months they were all gone.
That sucks that they went but awesome that you did it!
@@SketchyMaker yeah, people seemed to like them. I therefore assume kids either smashed them or stole them. One was located at the front of our community where school buses stop.
Here because the FBI forced me to watch this.
I'm working on invading my city with something special as well 😄
Invade Las Vegas next.
If/when I have enough money it would be fun to do somewhere in the US. Just need to save up a lot first.
Alternate title: Lego youtuber discovers graffiti ;) We're all bombers at heart... It's not all about aerosol though :)
can we have the stls?
I'm not sharing the stls, sorry.
cool. stolen design. grats.
No star wars character? So wholesome.
I did consider doing one or two but decided to wait until another city and do a load in one go.
A word of advice, you can get the bubbles out a lot easier than tapping if you have a sub woofer. An old school boom box style stereo speaker might do in a pinch, but the woofer is going to actually be able to vibrate enough if you run some low tones through it.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to try and test out something to vibrate the moulds next time.
Aberdeen, WA, USA next obviously. lets crowdfund this creative fellow around the world, for the good of humanity!
It would be pretty funny to do a different Aberdeen somewhere in the world one day.
still going to be cheaper to drive to michigan
That is fantastic mate - great job and results. Have an awesome day!💥From Fun At Home (supporting content creators)☮
Thanks! You too!
@@SketchyMaker No worries mate, will do.
25th historians gonna be like: "We found a large number of this tiny statue man in this ruins that appear to be a common 21st century small settlements, It's either they worship this tiny man or perhaps this could be the first signs of another human like species coexisting with humans on earth. The answer to that we may never know"
That would be pretty funny. Unfortunately with my skills they would have all crumbled well before then.
@@SketchyMaker Lol bet, but fr tho don't look down on your skill man you have no idea how many people you have inspired by watching your videos alone. Your Craftsmanship may not survive for Centuries but your story will endure in the hearts and mind of the people you've inspired for generations. Lol get a little poetic there, but fr man I like your vids! Keep bringing positive things into the world! You're awesome man. 🤙🏽
Agh… comment number 567… hope you see this… A) LOVE this so much! You will never know the collective enjoyment your project has brought to so many people!! Great job! 🎉 B) would you consider selling your silicon moulds to others to work with? I’m not nearly creative enough to 3D print something but the steps after you get to “silicon” stage I can handle with great glee! I’d love to invade my hometown of Calgary, Canada with these this summer!
Thanks for the awesome comment. Unfortunately I'm not selling the moulds, sorry.
holy fuck this is so cool....
Thanks!
Pleased to have stumbled upon this amazing video... lovely work!
Thanks man!
Roman legionnaires at Hadrian’s wall!
I have been thinking about some Romans but hadn't considered Hadrian's wall.
@@SketchyMaker yeah I didn’t consider the fact that improving the wall with your little guys might be something of a historical faux pas.
can you invade paris ? i try to invade it with sweet stickers, but lego are so awesome !! that would be amazing :0
I would love to do Paris. Hopefully one day when I have some more money.
Yay! Lego!!!
Dude no way! I saw one of my brothers at school do this exact model! But I don't think it had removable helemt
That's cool. I haven't seen anyone else do one exactly like this but there are some similar to it.
There's something that's just so wholesome about this.
Thanks :)
I guess it may be too late, but in any case, you could've used a small batch of very liquid concrete to fill small details, and then pour your normal concrete on top. Concrete would settle, moving excessive water on top.
Thanks for the suggestion. It is actually something I did try briefly but didn't have much success with. I will try and test it out again in the future.
Would you get sued? I think lego trademarked minifigures.
I hope not. But it's part of the reason I won't sell them.
In my country, Czech republic, we have an artist named point, he is making 3D graffiti and some sculptures, worth of checking!
I have had a look, his work his awesome. I'm pretty envious of his rainbow Porsche.
this is exactly my idea of a perfect project. Its satisfying, hilarious, and nurtures the inner child and choas neutral urges!!!
Thanks so much!
Aqua teen did the same thing and it got called a bomb scare lmao.
I think I remember reading about that.
@@SketchyMaker yeah they did light-up stickers of Ignignokt and Err throughout Boston. It's always been a cool idea to advertise like this.
Dublin with vikings!
Thanks for the suggestion!
I see Aberdeen, I upvote.
You are such an amazing artist. I love watching your videos.
I'm glad you have enjoyed them :)
You deserve more subscribers you spent such a long time making all those 3-D printed Lego flowers
Thanks for the lovely comment. I have had so many new subscribers recently, honestly it's a little overwhelming.
1:50 the fact you aren’t using gloves when handling cement is… 😬😬🥴
