2024 Subaru Crosstrek / Impreza wireless phone charger install H1010FN200
Awesome video! And glad you posted this one. Thanks so much!!! Follow on question, how long do you think it would take to recharge the Jackery 300 Plus using the PD USB C car 12V charging method?
Hello. Depends on how much battery is remaining in the 300 Plus. If it is near 0%, then a full recharge should take about 4-5 hours. If it is recharging at roughly 60 watts, then in one hour only 60 of the 288Wh capacity of the battery will be replenished. We do have a new product that we just picked up the other week that is new since this video was published that we plan to release an updated video for it this coming weekend. This new product solves the overheating issue we were concerned about with the plug-in 100 watt adapter. This new product which has a remote module will allow you to recharge at a full 100 watts without any overheating issues. Our testing shows the module never gets warmer than 100 degrees, much lower than the 140 degrees we saw with the other adapter. Using this new product, you should be able to fully recharge the battery in under 3 hours. amzn.to/3Zzyrm2
@ thank you for this excellent information and again for the great video!
Thank you. When we learned about this product from another viewer, we researched the product first and then decided to purchase and put it to the test. We've been beyond happy with the new item and it solves all the issues that we didn't like with the other unit that still worked but, it was concerning about it always hitting the thermal limit.
Where can I find the pin?
Sorry for our delaying in replying. If you can find a pink colored piece of tape, the pigtail will be bundled up with the tape and the plug should be at the end of the pigtail.
thanks for clear video cay you also show if we can replace the hallogen bulb with LED bulb in Headlight.
Unfortunately, the 2024 Premium model we have came with LED projector headlights, so we can't illustrate that. There should be no reason an LED replacement bulb can't be used in place of the Halogen bulbs. However, you may want to test a couple different LED bulbs to see if it projects a lighting pattern that is satisfactory to your liking. Not all LED bulbs are the same and some of them will create some very weak illumination because the LED's are not reflecting properly based on the bulb design. There isn't any one in particular that I would recommend other than maybe checking with other owners in a Facebook group for Crosstrek's to see if there is any people really like better.
Could you do. Video on the license plate lights.
That's one light we chose to not upgrade since the halogen bulbs against the Pearl White exterior looked good to us. It uses a Type 194 bulb, same as the ones used on the interior lights. If you do a RUclips search using "subaru ascent license plate light replacement" the first two videos are really good illustration the removal of the lights.
gracias amigo ....
Gracias, señor. Le agradecemos que lo haya visto.
Things have moved on quickly, as they do .. Topdon now have a TC001+, which has the built-in camera. Android only, they dont have an IoS one yet. However the TC001+ is USB C, I don't know why iPhone can't use that. I agree about the self-contained feauture, Topdon do have one but it costs more than $250. However, the resolution of the Topdon devices is much higher - tyhe HP96 is 96x96 at the sensor extrapolated to 240x240 on the display. The Topdon's are 255x192, which explains why you appear to get less bang for the buck - and faster recalibration. It's a vast difference though. I guess the PC96 looks more defined because you have the visible image switched on. Of course, my phone is a £100 Android. Not at $1000 iPhone. Works well enough for me. There's a lot to be said though for getting the cheap model. Next year they'll have moved on again and you might be glad you didn't spend a lot !
I had my 300+ charging using the accessory port in my truck which has a 20a fuse. It came up 5% before the fuse popped. Haven't tried it with the fresh fuse yet.
Good video ! i Think a Cigar lighter plug with cable with a PD delivery Block on the End of it would be Best for safety / Heat concerns & then plug your usb c cable into the unit from the Charging block.
Good Video ! Can u Recharge the Plus unit via the cigarette lighter plug ? i'm thinking of using a dual ended cigarette lighter plug to charge it from cigarette lighter in My Truck.
You can’t do that, unfortunately. The 12V cigarette lighter plug can’t be used as an input, it’s 12V output only.
I bought 4 panels (2 per set) on sale for $77.00 each on sale and with an additional promotional discount 😃
godsend
Thank you !!
Would like an idea of output without picking up items around the house, will this power a small air fryer or a hair dryer or a heater? How about a cheap drill from harbor freight
A typical air fryer is at least 1,200 watts and most smaller hair dryers would be about the same. You would need a unit that is capable of providing 1,500 watts with a 2,200 watt surge for motor startups. Most units with those capabilities would have a battery capacity of 1,200Wh. Consider the Explorer 1000 V2, amzn.to/4frD2vZ
Thanks Man, now I understand it!
Do beats support audio sharing feature like AirPods Pro?
Yes. The Studio Pro now allows two pair of Studio Pros to connect to the same device at the same time.
I am a student who likes to listen to lectures in loud cafe, so anc is top priority. Also I do prefer sound quality. I am not a bass head I prefer more clarity especially the vocals. So based on these what do you recommend for me?
If using them in a loud cafe, I would recommend the Studio Pro. I prefer them over my AirPods when flying and they do a great job with the sound of the jet engines.
Which have better sound quality and ANC? how about beats connected vai type c loseless audio?
I've only used the Studio Pro connected via bluetooth. I'm pleased with their sound quality and would put both the AirPods Pro and Studio Pro on the same level of ANC. They both filter out the majority of background noise and both have their own issues where they sometimes have to be readjusted so that ANC will function best. I find the Studio Pro does a better job since they have a much great area to seal around the ear vs a small port inside the ear canal. I use both of them equally now but, for long-term comfort beyond 1-hour I always go for the Studio Pro.
Hello Sir, I'm trying to find a suitable thermal camera for an project. Can you help me in the search cause I know nothing about thermal cameras at the moment. I need as much as possible budget wide angle of at least 50 degrees with capability to see and detect objects like for example a small kid in the distance of at least 200 feet.
Hello. The HFSTools HP96 has a 50 degree viewing angle. If you need something greater than 50 it’s not going to be found in a budget camera. For example if you look at the FLIR T865 that has an 80 degree viewing angle is over $30,000.
@@LetsTalkTechToday Thank you for answering! I'm looking for a thermal module to install on a new security system so I need 45 or 50 degrees. Saw that some thermal cameras have max view distance written in the description and some don't. What affects the view range? How can I predict what the max range is if it's not specified? How far can those wide angle 50° budget thermal cameras usually see? Can they see well enough on 200 feet to be able to recognize what you are looking at? Sorry for asking all those dumb questions, but I really know nothing about thermal cameras.
I'd suggest looking for a Facebook group for either FLIR or Seek that both specialize in top-quality thermal cameras where you can hopefully find individuals who know more about their better units than the average home-owner models.
Wish they’d kept two outlets
Yes, not sure why they removed one of them when the previous versions were perfect.

I have a 2021 Crosstrek, will this also work?
I did a cross reference and it appears the 2018-2024 Crosstreks all use the same interior bulbs. The backup bulbs seem to be a different size bulb. These would be the bulbs to use for brighter backup bulbs in a 2018-2023. a.co/d/84TUmC9
Great video and I hope the bulbs I bought from Amazon work well
Greate mister, very informative video! Keep up the good work. 😃
Thank you kindly!
Thanks for the help, just saved $50 instead of buying the Subaru aftermarket kit. 👍
Glad we could help
Im guessing the cigarette lighter car adapter is something separate I have to buy since my Jackery 300+ didn't come with one?
Yes, unfortunately Jackery does not include a cable to allow charging in a vehicle. We would recommend the USB-C adapter and cable since it can also be used for other devices as well that accepts USB recharging.
Will this work with the 2024 base model Impreza?
Yes but, you need to make sure to purchase the version meant for the base model with turn-key ignition. amzn.to/3OUCggs
I don’t know why they don’t come with led bulbs already…Subaru needs to do this.
You would think if they can include LED headlights that they would also include LED interior lights. This is a worthwhile upgrade that is easy to do and very reasonable when done yourself.
Love the new background, looks great!
Thank you. We recently renovated the home studio. Our daughter helped design the background as she is a natural for those kinds of things.
I also replaced the two silver-colored bolts that secure the hatch mechanism with black ones. Always looked tacky to me since everything in the hatch area is black and they were shinny silver.
I have a inverter gas generator and when I plug my jackery 240,v2 it powers 187 watts into it, within say 30 minutes full 100 % and then turns off.really happy with my jackery.
I got 2 and there 18v and my joyvolt 1500 is a 12v system, i think you said get a voltage control, is that true i have a 100/30amp you think that will work!!!
I looked at the specs for your Joyvolt 1500. The Anderson plug inputs allow for 10-60V with a 10A max input. You can safely connect two of these panels together in either series. That would provide a combined 44.8V, using the VOC of each panel at 22.4V, and a total amp rating of 7.59A, both numbers within the range your Joyvolt permits. This should provide you with about 260 watts if all conditions outdoors are ideal. You technically could also wire them in parallel but, your wattage will be limited based on the max of 10A that your device will pull in. In parallel you would be closer to 190W as an input in ideal conditions.
@@LetsTalkTechToday Thank you Brother!!! I love the show and i have spreaded the word!!! THANKS!!!!!
We appreciate the kind words and helping to spread the word. Thank you !!!!
Are the bass or Beats good enough??
We would rate the bass as very good. For long-term use of these headphones, the weight is not too much and they fit comfortably. Noise cancellation is adequate for most locations where background noise is moderately high. In an airplane they keep most background noise down without affecting the sound quality. We use these and our AirPod Pro 2 equally. The biggest advantage the AirPods offer is portability that you can take them anywhere with you. But, for extended wearing, the Studio Pro wins for comfort and not needing to occasionally have to reposition them like we find with the AirPods Pro 2s. For the price, when these Studio Pro can be found for under $170 they are an excellent value for the features they offer. If using them with Apple devices they give you the added benefit of seamlessly switching between devices and being able to to utilize Spatial Audio and Siri voice commands.
@@LetsTalkTechTodayThanks for reply. I bought it they are awesome, but i thought they lacking of bass. I set the iOS EQ to hip hop and its good like that. The voices are so clear love it. Ir’s so funny to listen music with Spatial audio onMy only issues is when lossless is activate on bluetooth the music stutters on the first seconds. So i disable it. The second is, the ANC mode is a little noisy. Like a little whistling
I purchased a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness and ordered it with the LED bulb upgrade option. Did need to change out the hatch and license plate bulbs but they're done now.
I had the version 1 I upgraded to version 2 best choice
Hi, new subscriber here. Thank you for your series of videos on the Jackery and EcoFlow power stations. I have watched several content creators on this topic, and more often than not they really miss the greatest need of the greatest number of viewers by "explaining" the subject in terms that only geeks (no offense intended) can understand. I really appreciate that you explain the features of the power stations in practical language that us non-geeks can understand. So, thank you!! It is my "understanding" that fast charging has a detrimental effect on the life of batteries (i.e. cell phones). I assume the same issue applies to power station batteries given that Jackery and EcoFlow offer slower and faster re-charge options. I presume the slower re-charge rate is optimal for the batteries' longevity. I am someone who is highly motivated by fast re-charge speeds (which is why I just ordered the EcoFlow River 2). Now my questions: 1) Can you offer rules of thumb, practical considerations, for using the fast charge vs slow charge methods? 2) Are there higher safety risks in fast charging? 3) How much loss of battery longevity (or other issues) should I expect by only fast-charging the devices? 4) Should I never only fast-charge the power stations for reasons other than shortening the life of the battery? Thank you!
Thank you for your kind words. We try our best to explain things in less technical terms but, still try to keep the important context technical when appropriate. As far as your questions, fast charging of any device, whether a cell phone, laptop or portable power station, should be reserved for the occasions when time is of the essence to get as much power recharged in a shorter period of time. Two of the biggest factors of the health and longevity of modern batteries is age and heat. Fast recharging is just as damaging as pulling maximum power out of the device at full-load for an extended period of time. That is one reason to make sure you figure your intended use of the power station and determine if a smaller unit will still provide reserve power for emergencies. We’ve experienced issues ourselves fast-charging our EcoFlow Delta Mini at 400W that caused the unit to notify via the phone app that the unit was at 160 degrees F and that charging was temporarily suspended. Recharging and using the device in different environments can also cause overheating issues. Same holds true if you are storing or using the device in too cold of an environment. As we’ve seen on the news many times, electric vehicles lose much of their range in the cold and extreme heat, the same holds true for portable power stations. As battery technologies have improved the last few years, the issues with them have thankfully decreased. I would highly recommend only purchasing a unit with Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, which are much more stable and able to handle the higher recharge rates and normally carry a much longer warranty from the manufacturer. As far as always recharging the device using fast-charging, my guess would be it would likely shorten the life expectancy of the unit but, should still be within the manufacturer specs of maintain at least 80% of the original capacity over 3,000 full discharge/recharge cycles. Other than keeping your eye on the device’s temperature while recharging I don’t think there should to too much concern to using fast-charging. With our EcoFlow Delta Pro we usually recharge at half it’s ability to fast-charge unless we know a storm is approaching and we want to get the unit as close to 100% as quick as possible.
@@LetsTalkTechToday Thank you for your thorough response. It was very helpful! Given what you shared, I am willing to take the shorter battery lifespan to have the fastest charging speeds. Now with better clarity, I realize that my concerns were safety, and damage to the battery that would cause it to perform poorly in daily use. Based on what you've written, those concerns are relieved. I already own a Jackery 300 V2 and supplement it with two 28000 mAH batteries to keep my USB devices charged. (I owned the power banks before the Jackery). I am now buying the Ecoflow River 2 to replace the two power banks and gain the faster recharging speeds . Time (and of course safety) are more important to me than ten years of life on a battery gained by slow charging. If I get half that usage because of fast charging, then at $169, which is what I paid for the River 2, then it would have paid for itself in convenience. At least I can stop fast charging the Jackery which I'd begun to do the last couple times I charged it. It was becoming a habit that I didn’t want to continue. Again, thanks again for your thoughtful and thorough response. I can now move forward with peace of mind. 😇
I just purchased my Crosstrek this week and I'm definitely going to follow this guide. Thank you.
Glad we were able to assist. Enjoy your Crosstrek.
Same here…just got a 2024 CT Wilderness and I want to change these out.
Awesome review, I have been looking at these panels to make a suitcase for recharging a DIY 100ah lifepo4 battery box I built. Do they feel as sturdy as any other panel? How are the frame and corners? Sharp and pointy or smooth and non catching? Thanks again for the review and your time..
These panels are very well constructed. The corners have a plastic protective piece to avoid the sharp corners. The finish is a nice black anodized finish. You could easily make a suitcase 200W panel which wouldn’t make them much larger than the BougeRV 130W portable panel that we reviewed previously.
I’m planning on making a suitcase with these panels aswell lol
U save me nice video.just wondering what would happen to the car if u leave it charge with the car turn off for like 4hrs ?where the jackery getting power when u charging it to pur car? To the gas or battery car?TIA GREAT VIDEO BTW
Depending on the vehicle it could deplete your car battery if the car battery is aged or your vehicle doesn’t have any protection to turn off the cigarette plug. I’d also advise to never recharge in the vehicle if it is hot outdoors as the batteries do have a range that should be followed when charging in the heat or cold.
What a pain... n my opinion I think the jackery 300 explorer is just much easier. We understand it won't last as many years. I'm getting the older model....The regular Jackery 300 explorer. I believe it has a cig lighter on both ends and charges like a champ in a car or truck.....
The plus, could have been better. Charging the plus with an adapter, is not a good design.
I read a comment on another video that said the C impute port broke after only 2 weeks. It does seem very fragile especially keeping it plugged in while the care is moving. What are your thought on this awkward design.
We are not a fan at all with this design. We much prefer the ports used in the Explorer 300 V1 & V2 or having the 12V DC input plugs like the Explorer 1000 Plus and 1000 V2.
I purchased the 300 Plus and have read that it can be used as a UPS. 2 years ago Jackery support said their units could not be used as a UPS because they have a built-in shut off feature that if less than 10W of power is drawn for a duration of 12 hours, the unit will turn off automatically. Has something changed with the 300 Plus? If so, how would I set it up to use as a UPS.
Does the 300plus only have 1- 110 outlet?the other 2 jackery you have here looks like they have 2 outlets?
Yes. That is one of the weak points of the 300 Plus. Many people have complained about that limitation compared to the other versions.
@LetsTalkTechToday I know nothing bout stuff like this..past few days I've been thinking about buying one of these for emergency...jackerys website has sale right now,I can get the 300plus with their solor panel for 299...what do you think, what do you recommend??thank you
Have you watched our video review comparing the Ecoflow River 2 with the Jackery 300’s? I honestly like the Ecoflow products better than Jackery at the moment. You can also pick up the River 2 with a 45 watt solar panel for $219 right now on Amazon. We have links for it on our other video review. ruclips.net/video/Yyb49b7480M/видео.html
Thank you very much for finding a solution and posting it with links to the product. I never would’ve figured this out on my own. Very helpful. I’m sure a lot of Jackery owners will find this useful.
We are glad to hear we were able to help you. We had too many viewers post on our other videos about how to charge one in a vehicle so we decided to make this video for our viewers.

Why does jackery 300 plus doesn’t come with a car charger?
I’m not sure of their reason with not including a USB-C to USB-C cable with a vehicle accessory adapter plug that supports PD charging. I have what is necessary to purchase in the video description.
@@LetsTalkTechTodayi am a truck driver and i do not understand much of electronics, i saw what you had in description but i would highly appreciate if you made a video explaining how to charge that thing from car and how you put the cables. Thank you

My 3 year old jackery is now a paperweight. It’s dead as a doornail, not even a display. Hard reset didn’t help either.
Which one do you own? Did you have it stored for a prolonged period?
How to charge this thing in a car?
I will be posting a video tomorrow how exactly to do this and which products I recommend to use based on different tests I've conducted. Thank you for the suggestion to produce a video as you are not the first to wonder how one charges a Jackery Explorer 300 Plus in a vehicle.
Your review came across to me as Factual and well stated 👏. A question please: Why is the new 300 Plus version less expensive than the 300 V2 model? What do you attribute the price differences to? Does Jackery somehow perceive the 300 V2 version as somehow worth more (or better than) their latest greatest 300 Plus? Durability of the external Casing and Internal Workmanship? Asking because I found the lower pricing factor of the 300 Plus most interesting and potentially important. Any thoughts about why? Thanking you, in advance, for you input and insights.
That you for the compliment. We’re not sure where you are looking but, the V2 is currently $50 less on Amazon than the 300 Plus. From our experience with both devices, we find the V2 much easier to use when it comes to recharging with solar panels because it doesn’t require the cumbersome use of USB-C adapters. The main advantage of the 300 Plus is the use of a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery which supports more recharging cycles because it begins to lose some of its overall capacity. We encourage you to check out our latest video that we compare the V2 and the 300 Plus with the EcoFlow River 2 which is available at a fantastic price point right now on Amazon. ruclips.net/video/Yyb49b7480M/видео.html. Thank you for watching.
@@LetsTalkTechToday yes, will check that out. Thank you 😊 💓☺.
I got the V2. Should I leave it charged to 80% like a cell phone or can it be charged to 100% when in storage? I will only use it once or twice a year in case of a power outage.
The most important thing to be aware of when storing the device is to check it every three months to verify it has not dropped below 15%-20% capacity. My recommendation is to set a reminder to check the device every three months to verify it is in proper working condition. The unit will naturally self-discharge over time even turned off with no cables attached. If you will only be using it for emergency purposes, there should be no concerns storing it between 80% and 100%.
@@LetsTalkTechToday Thank you. I bought the V2 because it qualified for a $150 rebate from my power utility. I have given others who expressed interest in the Jackery a link to this video. You help is much appreciated.
The door lower bulbs are easy to change if you just unplug them from the connector.
