I am very familiar with these speakers and the room’s capabilities and restrictions, as I should be, as I own the joint. I have never heard these speakers perform this well. This system sounded as good as anything we have played in this room, even systems costing 2 to 3 times as much. The RA280 is astonishingly good, not “for the money good” just damn good. As Eric described it, it’s grippy, controlling the woofers with complete authority extracting every last bit of oomph they have to give. The mids and highs revealed every detail in the material we demoed without becoming fatiguing, or strident. This is truly an amplifier for the ages. Even though the Dali Rubicons were secondary in this test, we knew they’d reveal any amp shortcomings…we didn’t expect what we heard. Don’t get me wrong, we weren’t expecting mediocrity based on previous HiFiRose products, we just weren’t expecting to be floored, or look like a bunch of mouth gaping newbies experiencing great sound for the first time. This amp should be on your short list if you are thinking of a new amp. I’d compare it to almost anything in its orbit. Looking for new speakers? Tweeter at top, midrange below that, then the bass drives below that and end with bass port. Taga Harmony has that classic design. Bass port at top next to tweeter and main drive triggers my OCD! 😭🤣

Hi this one is very neutral and sounds great. Pure analogue , no potential background noise from DAC or headphones. It's kind of hifi gear you like or not

Great video but a little troublesome on some of the audio.

Obviously, the turntable is designed for use anywhere in the World (having a universal power supply, as is common on much electronic equipment), but it seems a waste of raw materials to provide USELESS power cables, which may simply be discarded? Not terribly green?

Thanks for posting this video. I have a quick question. I am using a pair of vintage Qln Prestige Speakers, a McIntosh MC152 Power Amp & a Parasound Halo P6 Preeamp. I want to upgrade my system a bit....use the P6 ESS Sabre DAC & add in another preamp...either a JC2PB or perhaps a McIntosh C49. What would you say is the basic difference in sound between a Parasound John Curl (JC) designed preamp and that of a modern day McIntosh such as the C49? Thanks, Di-

I used to fix F15 jets, this ain't rocket science it just takes precision and methodical attention to detail. Circuit boards are fine, I prefer point to point user serviceable analog equipment. But I can't afford it anymore I'm convinced Rogue is the best bang for the buck , this is the way I am going to go. I have already received excellent customer service and I haven't even made a purchase yet, but I am about to. This has been on my bucket list a long time.

I don’t believe for one minute that these go down to 14 hz. They aren’t like Klipsch or some small bookshelf speaker but c’mon.

There must be some sort of contractual agreement between B&W and Connolly that forces them to mention the name “Connolly” every time they talk about the small leather at the top of the speaker. I’d love to hear just one person showing or reviewing these speakers talk about the leather trim without mentioning the name Connolly.
