Hello. Which one is better. Ground or water?

    • @hhjzjsj

SOG is better as it is a fixed point of reference for the sonar to reflect off, limitations is the depth of water where the sonar cannot reflect off, Usually around the 200m mark. Anything greater than 200m in depth, STW is used to reflect off particles in the ocean or anything else it can find

We have something like this in aviation as well, it is called cockpit or crew resource management (in the latter case, it also includes the cabin crew). If you ever sit in the cockpit of an airliner, you'll notice that the pilots are constantly communicating and checking each other. None makes any decision without telling the other.. The captain is still the boss and has the final say, but ttoday they swap between flights, between the position of "pilot flying" and Pilot monitoring". The "pilot flying" has the con and steers the aircraft and the "pilot monitoring" double checks his work and does the radio traffic. there is also the concept of the "sterile cockpit", meaning thatin close trafficconditions, like while moving on an airport or in the vicinity of one, below 10,000 ft, only conversations directly related to the current flight operation are permitted. Anybody present in thecockpit has the right to speak up if they notice a problem (e.g. calling a go around if they notice that there is an obstacle on the landing runway). The times, when the captain was a demi god and the others just had to shut up and obey are over, as this attitude caused too many accidents.

Checking on the brake. Should you find the next day that the link touches the stopper, it means that the brake doesn't hold.

Hello-! I'm glad to find this wonderful and professional video. I respect your goal to share this insightful videos to many fellow seafarers. I'm training manager in shipbuilder in Korea and I think this will help commissioning staffs as well. Can I use these animations in my powerpoint slide, citing the original source? (No commercial use, but instruct) Is there any procedure to get permission from your channel? Please let me know that I couldn't find to reach you by e-mail. Thanks, your fellow commissioning engineer
