    #6, Cottonmouths have fangs dripping with venom that can kill your ass. Water snakes don’t .

    You haven't seen water-snakes in my area!!! I was drift fishing on river/ island>island, drifting near bank, piloting my boat by tree-limb grabbing. Went to grab limb, hand almost onnit, when this water-snake raised to warn me that it was HIS LIMB!! That rascal was thick as my forearm, & 4.5 feet long!! Biggest I've seen in 50 years!! He WAS NOT THIN/SKINNY!!

    How far do you live from where you found it? Ideally, box turtles should be released close to their home range, otherwise they may die of stress or get hit by a car on their journey back.

    • @hylaherping9180
      @hylaherping9180 13 дней назад

      About 10 miles away. It was stuck in a fenced in field with runways around it, so it needed to be relocated. It won't run into any cars where I put it, hopefully it doesn't get stressed out in a new environment. At least it has everything it needs to survive. In the future, I'll relocate them closer to the spot I found them if necessary.

      @herpthusiast 13 дней назад

      @@hylaherping9180 Ok, 10 miles is probably farther than its home range. There’s a chance it will try to travel back to the airport, but hopefully it can adapt to its new environment
