I have the same rims on my Escalade build that I did custom IFS on the front. But I'm running the RC4WD Rock Crusher X\T 2.2 that looks like they would be too tall for your build

I wish you would have shown something of the install of that servo, and provided some feedback on it's performance relative to the stock one.. Did the metal servo horn work? There is limited space on the FJ40.

General Intel, the wild peaks the base camp comes with vs the Rc4wd wild peaks are totally different tires just so everyone knows, they aren’t the same. The Rc4wd has a much deeper tread with beefier lugs. They are also slightly shorter and slightly wider. The axial wild peak has more siping in the lugs, the tread is very shallow and the lugs are very small compared to Rc4wd wild peaks.

I just joined the Injora insert gang. I like them, but for me, they do seem to slide back and forth on the rim. The silicon is so slick against the wheel rings which allows the sidewall look concave or convex on side hills. I'm thinking to wrap a piece of tacky sand paper around the wheel ring to keep them from side shifting. Subbed man 👍 continue with the fcx24 content!

I used the injora links for the fcx24 on mine making the whellbase slightly longer bei not screwing the eyelets in completly, I left a few millimeters on each end. Works for me. I also had the problem with the servo beeing in the way when both wheels compress. I just cut the corners on the top of the servo and the servo mount. Now it dives nicely in the frame.

Are you attempting to give it rear steering like Matts rig has?

I use the yellow in 1" wheels and am quite happy compared to foam. They also add a little weight to the wheels.

Mine just did it bout 15 mins ago got it for my son on Christmas literally been 2 days smh mines doing this same exact thing all I did to the truck so far was lube the diffs since I know they don’t come with lube in them any recommendations for a upgraded replacements?

I noticed the rear springs are same length as the front... 🤔

Any tips on diff fluids or shock packages. The local track is a small tight carpet and runs small jumps. I'm a total noob but haven't found any set up sheets on this kit.

You might find the side hill support from the tyre sidewall holds you back without foams. You can snip them down to make them softer 👍

I have a yellow one, yesterday I came back to my parent's house and found out that it was stored in the wrong place and the bottom chassis broke at the front wheels. Also the back tyre broke in half and also the front one ( I dont mean the plastic, but the tyre itself). It made me really sad. Now I'm try to fix it but ofc, to no avail. There's no way to glue it together, also the plastic that was scattered all over the place (Which i wanted to glue together) were thrown into the trash bin. I really want to rebuild it, I got it back in 2008 when I was a kid. I am from Europe and idk how to get any spare parts or complete chassis. It's a pain in the a$$, also most parts and whole body RC Hummers are being sold in the USA. Shipment is too much - 150€ to be shipped to Europe. What can I do?

Perfect upgrade for it is a Traxxas 3s VXL 2 pole 3355x ESC (its sensored) and a HobbyKing Trackstar SCT 550 Sensored motor. Turn the motor timing up to 20 TO 25°. I also installed a Castle Sidewinder 4 and a Tekin Pro HD 550 4300KV. Both setups ran fantastic. Also upgrade the rear shock. I used big bore Yeah Racing shocks and reused the stock spring. The belt can be exchanged for a couple chains from other offroad bikes, but its easier to just measure it and order a 6 pack of belts. Or you can order a rear wheel for the SkyRC SR5 , a pinion, and a chain and swap them out!

Ugh, phillips hardware has to go! I love testing low budget, entry-level trucks - but the big brands have got their prices down enough now that these lower-end trucks just aren't worth the hassle. Just like you said!
