We boarded the historic Sam Short Line Railroad for a scenic ride to Jimmy Carter's home town in Plains Georgia. It was a pleasant journey through small towns, woods and fields. During the journey we were entertained by a steward who schooled us on the history of the train, Jimmy Carter and Plains GA. We then enjoyed a lovely meal onboard before arriving at our destination. Once there we explored the town and learned a lot about Jimmy Carter and his family. We also enjoyed some peanut butter ice cream.
