What a terrible choice Disney why just why did you have to transform splash mountain into Tiana’s baue adventure I want splash mountain back

I love that Tiana has a ride, and I even like that it replaced Splash Mountain to a degree. But I'm a bit disappointed that the story of the ride was so lackluster. 😕 The ride track really seemed to fit with the ups and downs of the actual movie. I guess I just really wish more of the movies plot and characters, aka the villian, was in the ride. I'm not a huge fan of the plot of looking for animal band members since it really wasn't what the movie was about and why it was important for so many girls.

Once I was riding the ride when I was really small like 9 years old, I was sitting with my brother that was 5 years older than me. The belt was a ruler long away from me, and I freaked out. It was so long away from me I was dying to get out of the ride. I kept screaming “IM GONNA DIE” “I DONT WANNA DIE HERE” And I was really scared, especially when it was the biggest fall. My brother held so hard to me, and when we were falling I can feel me lifting up a lil bit. And my dad’s hat fell off so hard it went to the next car behind us 😂. But if your riding that NEVER go with a fat person.

Are there dips or drops?

When it used to be Splash Mountain, I got to sit near the front the first time, it was really fun. Second time however, I was sat at the back and I hated it so much, it was a lot more sickening.

Wait it’s finally done?! I was so upset when they were closing it for changing from the original Splash Mountain to this and it felt like it took forever but I’m so excited that it’s finally done and reopened!!

Of course it's still that long. They didn't change the actual log ride part of it that used to be Splash Mountain.

Personal opinion: the princess and the frog is my all time favorite Disney movie Iike I can quote it throughout type stuff I love it love it love it love it. This didn’t meet my expectations I thought, like everyone, we would have friends on the other side featured with the drop and the storyline being more aligned with the movie. I don’t think executing this as a sequel to the ending is all that great. Where is Naveen? Her Mom? They could’ve had a Mardi Gras wedding at the end!!! Or better yet the true loves kiss scene. When they transform back into humans and Tiana has the gorgeous pastel green lily pad dress, they could’ve used the pepper’s ghost effect no?? I just really really really am trying to like this ride and I dont love it but I do like that Tiana has her own ride now. Thats all

Yeah I learned the hard way not to ride in the front back when it was splash mountain. - someone who’s high school friends cajoled them into sitting up front because “it was my first time at Disneyland”

I’ve heard nothing but bad things about how boring it is. Long stretches of nothing between animation, no actual story and a lack of a villain.

I’m glad it’s changed to Tiana’s, the animatronics look amazing and the bayou feel is gorgeous. One of the most beautiful films they’d put out in recent years. And Splash Mountain was in desperate need of an upgrade.

It's bizarre to me that people are that mad about Splash Mountain being gone. The story is based on a racist movie that Disney has hidden away as best as possible, so unless people have a VHS tape from another country or have watched some illegal upload online, many people going to the parks haven't watched the movie at all. Yes, nostalgia. I get people have fond memories of the ride, but I've gone on it multiple times as well, and I put getting rid of a ride that was based on a movie glorifying slavery over my personal memories.
