Ha! For the curious, taken from wiki: Originally, haint blue was thought by the Gullah to ward haints, or ghosts, away from the home. The tactic was intended either to mimic the appearance of the sky, tricking the ghost into passing through, or to mimic the appearance of water, which ghosts traditionally could not cross. The Gullah would paint not only the porch, but also doors, window frames, and shutters.

@@Californians_go_home what color lmfao? We went from beige to muted tones to black and white. Color hasnt been in for 20 years.

@@johnnymac6242 yeah, that’s why black and white are popular. The color trends became old. It has nothing to do with lack of creativity. It’s just smart to have a neutral palette. That’s why homes are losing more and more walls and bringing the outside in with tons of glass, wood and concrete. If you have any style at all, color in walls are for cookie cutter spec homes. Like I said, color should be in accessories and art. Cabinet Fixtures, ceilings and flooring should be wood.
