    I definitely can see where you're coming from! However, not all kids do best with this kind of teaching and communication. My nephew understood delayed gratification and was doing chores at two and a half. Kids are very smart if the parents are super duper involved! 😊

    • @B.daugherty
      @B.daugherty 2 месяца назад

      Many kids will participate in chores and mimicking adults at 18(months)-2.5(years). In fact it's a question on most developmental norm exams such as the DAYC-2. However at that age they don't need a reward because they're mimicking the adult behavior and are getting the reward in demonstrating their new skills. I wonder if you didn't reward the chores how that would affect the behavior.

    This is the epitome of people overanalyzing things. Taking all control away from parents. Creating a victim where there is none. It's disgusting, and quite frankly, pathetic. Do you even hear what you're saying?? You laughed about a child running out in the street! His disrespect for, and refusal to obey, his mother, could quite literally cost him his life. I'm really hoping that all your ideas aren't to this ridiculous. You don't have to try so hard for content. There are an infinite number of topics that can be covered. But pretending that a parent wanting and needing their child to respect them, and somehow turning that child into a victim, is absolutely ridiculous. Play sincerely hope you don't have children. For some sick person on the internet is it going to laugh uncontrollably at the irony when you eventually post a video about how your child's lack of respect for you, cost in their life. "Sissy, can you tell Bubba not to talk to strangers? Because if I do, he might feel like I'm trying to control him." 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️ "Yeah... Whatever, Mom". And then bubba proceeds to explain to you and his ignorant, immature little voice, does a stranger in the white van with the candy, made his feelings feel validated. So he is in fact going to look at the new puppies in the back of his van... I love RUclips. I'm on here entirely too much. And this is quite literally the dumbest, most ridiculous video I do believe I've ever seen on this entire platform. Your kids will have enough friends. They only have two parents. It is your job to teach them the ways of the world and to keep them safe. And if they have absolutely no respect for you, you can't do that.

    Why does a kid get speech therapy? Just because he doesnt say mama? He has good words, so should be able to speak. Was there actualy something he needed therapy for? Or was it just a pushy parent who couldnt wait, because the kid nees to be a supergenius.

      So, speech therapy from a young age ensures that the child will grow up able to enunciate and speak clearly and its actually very developmentally beneficial. I would assume this child was not put in speech therapy for just one word, it's just a common word to teach infants. She didn't say she met the family FOR this reason, just that it was one of the things brought up. Honestly therapy in general is great for everyone, even those without trauma or mental illness.

      My son started speech therapy when he had 5 ish words. He was 2 and a half - behind. He should've had over 50 independent words which he should've been starting to pair into two word sentences. It's not that he wasn't hotting the milestones, he was very behind. Having 5-6 words is not all the context you need to decide the parents are pushy.

    • @B.daugherty
      @B.daugherty 4 месяца назад

      I think someone else answered this, they may enter therapy with a medical diagnosis of feeding/swallowing and if there's an accompanying delay of language we'll touch on that as well. But to answer your question - Yes I'll get about several parents a year who are high performing adults and are coming in to elevate skills that are not delayed to advance their child before entering school. They're looking for language coaching not really speech therapy. My most common is parents who speak one language looking to teach 3+ languages and looking for help. It's an interesting field.

    This is what I love about Rosetta Stone. It gradually teaches you daily objects and things gendered pronouns and numbers centered around daily objects in really simplistic ways. I feel like im learning faster than when i took 3 years of German in school! Meanwhile, my younger brother's teacher was different from mine and used a LOT of DuoLingo, and he still can't carry conversations in German after 4 years! I really dont give much credence to DuoLingo...

    One of the first words you learn in the Greek course is Αρχιτέκτονας, which means Architect. I may not know numbers or most colors, but I can talk about architects til the cows come home. I understand the idea of teaching pronunciation and how words interact, but I would also like to learn non-esoteric words every now and then.

  • @NyanBiscuit
    @NyanBiscuit 4 месяца назад

    So the point is not for you to ever say that one phrase. Its for you to use something very simple to build off the grammar. You are learning the single words, just keep going. As a fluent speaker, watching my partner learning with duolingo, i understand why each word is being taught. Certain sounds are not in other languages, so those small phrases are to get you to practice those sounds.

    • @NyanBiscuit
      @NyanBiscuit 4 месяца назад

      Even, you may ask yourself why you are learning "sushi" when it's the same word. It's so you can see "shi" in action. You then go on to use this same "shi" sound in the next lesson. You can then practice writing the characters. It's starts you with "shi"

Oh, the sentence <pronoun> <linking verb> <name> ISN'T "I am Joseph"? Oh, so it must be "He is Joseph", right? No? Well then what is it? "You are Joseph"?
