What kind of mixed voice do they both use? There was quite clearly a half-metallic sound in they mixed voice. There is no restraint quality. 7:53 Is that different from the pharyngeal voice?
I gained knowledge and happiness. Thank you very much.❤
Cornelius, this is a glorious analysis. I absolutely love that you can describe AND demonstrate what we're hearing as well as what we're _not_ hearing. Please make more of these, this may just be the best resource of its kind on RUclips.
More will come - I plan to release one per week alongside my regular content :)
Great analysis. Bruno goated
Probably one of the best analyses I ve ever seen on utube..congrats!!..I ve learnt a lot.
Love❤love❤love❤
would this be the same technique that jeff buckley often uses in things like the higher louder parts of lover you should’ve come over?
Yes :)
@ that’s really cool, is there a limit to how high i can go with curbing? and if so is there any way to adjust the sound to go past that limit?
Your voice is so beautiful ❤🎉🎉🎉
Love this❤ learn for leader worship .Thailand❤
I really need to learn ❤
I can teach you if you like :)
❤
Cry mix at 1:26? :D It was so perfectly executed <3
Just cry register actually :P
<3
Hell yes. Time to blast this out my window so my whole street can hear it 😝
That F2/H3 is hella good ❤ (if I’m not mistaken, it sounds like that tuning to my ears)
What register is this?
Oh shiiiiiiii
Stop please...
Could you tell me which of the four vocal modes are used in the final sentences? The tone seems noticeably different from the earlier parts.
All four, but mostly Edge and Overdrive. To be honest though I don't think it will be very feasible to achieve this kind of singing using a modes-based approach. Have you seen my video comparing registers to modes? ruclips.net/video/GVj4N4yASlI/видео.html
@VoiceStudioEast thank you😀
I just realised you may have been referring to the part after the climax, ie. the last three phrases, rather than the climax itself. Those are sung mostly in falsetto.
@VoiceStudioEast yes, falsetto. It seems that the CVT book I'm reading doesn't include any teaching on falsetto. I hope to learn from you.
@@VoiceStudioEast “Mostly”?
Great performance!
Epic, indeed...lol Cornelius
Hej Cornelious, super flot med de 2000 subs og flot cover! Krammer Sabina
Mange tak :)
Amazing!!! Your register transitions are smooth like 🧈.
Wow, what a great performance, I wish I could sing like you 💯💯💯
👏🏻👏🏻
Linda interpretación, make more covers. 🤩🤩🤩
Love me some LOTR. Lovely cover!
you have such a clear way of explaining singing, it's out of competition!
Hi Cornelius, when i sing in breathy falsetto I find it quite exhausing. I don't mean running out of air quicker, rather my voice just feels like it's been through a workout. I dont think im straining though... Do you think im doing something wrong or does it just take practice for the voice to get used to breathy falsetto?
Thank you so much! You're amazing!
Incredible
THANK YOU!!!!!
:DDDD
I think it is a common misconception when people consider mixed voice as something that's hard to find hence, it is considered as a "holy grail" in the singing world and becomes a widely discussed topic in the singing community. A lot don't realise that they are probably in that coordination already when they sing. Coz i think when we sing in our middle range, (for guys maybe around C4 - G4) we might be already centralising the vowels, increasing twang, in which it most likely introduces LCA activity in the process. Maybe the difficulty comes in sustaining and controlling it, when there's lack of support or when they're timid, they unconsciously use alot of valsalva. And that's when they consider it a pressed or squeezed chest voice.
Hey Cornelius! I would like to ask, when I am learning the CVI process, I want to make a neutral sound, but every time I want to make a high sound, I always feel that my chin is using force, I read in the book that this is incorrect, but this kind of use of force is not that I intentionally use force, but I feel that when I pronounce the sound high up, it will drive my chin to use force. I'm not sure if it's just my jaw using force, it's just that I feel some driving tightness in the back of my mouth. And I also feel it when I use the Twang. Is it possible that the mouth is very relaxed when making neutral sounds? There's just no force at all. None at all. What I'm asking is how do I produce a correct neutral sound, at least with a support point, because before when I produced high notes it felt like I was overdriving when I used the bite position as a support point, and I'm also asking if this is related to resonance? Is it about needing to get my resonance in the head and not in the mouth.
All of your live streams are special ❤
Could you tell me what metal in curbing and overdrive should feel like?
Why don't you give exercise.. explanations should go with exercise
Because breath support is not some unified skill, and because most aspiring singers are actually doing too much with their respiratory systems when singing and need to stop doing it, and nor is there a unified pattern to what they're doing, since there are a great many ways to increase breath support. Therefore, it is not possible to device an exercise that is particularly relevant to the point of this video.
@@VoiceStudioEast i understand thank you
I have a question, is there any way to lowering larynx while singing?
Excellent! Can you demistify vibrato next please
I intend to address vibrato in a later series
Loved the analogy with archery! Makes it so much easier to visualize the relationship between body posture and vocal placement. Amazing content as always!
i watched this like 10 times now, and trying to make a huge all encompassing visualization, awesome stuff cornelius!
