CONGRATULATIONS on being debt-free!!!! 👍👍👌👊👏👏👏🎉🥳😎🤩 I have been following you since July 2021 😉I am truly so so happy for you! Way to go, girl! It proves that with determination and stick-with-it ness, you can accomplish EVERYTHING! Just like @Bee42Sad, I came here this morning (Feb. 2024) to recommend you plan a looooong term sinking fund to eventually replace your car. The *LAST* you'd want to do is finance a $40K car over 5/6/7 years at a ridunculous interest rate. The days of 0% financing for cars are looooooong gone! And also to plan for life insurance (if not included in your benefits package at work) and critical insurance (for health care assistance such as longer term illnesses like cancer). Better to do it now while you are not yet 30, you lucky girl! (I'm 56... Old enough to be your Mom😁🤣). I wish you all the best for the future! I have no doubt you can move mountains now that you know what it takes to do it (edited for spelling). Love from Ottawa

These are great goals Amelia! You kicked butt paying your debt off, you will get that emergency fund and TFSA funded. I think people will still be interested in your videos, even being debt free, since you are so likable and relatable! 🙂

This is an awesome breakdown. You justify yourself over and over, I’m sitting here like wow you’re doing so well….leagues ahead of many of us being so prepared. Imo a realistic budget that isn’t “I’m so perfect and throwing everything to debt and this and that….” Is so much more reasonable and will always have better outcomes than the unrealistic and strenuous budget that will only work if you are solid as a rock. Which I am not fyi. 😂

You are doing great, Amelia! Starting off 2024 debt free is huge! Now you can challenge yourself to grow your savings, investments, and retirement. You’re in a great position, congratulations! Could I ask a big favor of you? There is a new RUclips budgeter who could use a boost in subscribers in order to get into the partner program and have his videos be monetized. Would you be willing to give him a “shout out” in one of your videos to help him? He is Michael @MidlifeMoneyMoves. I know he’d appreciate getting a mention from other budgeters to help his channel. I loved hearing your Christmas breakdown! I hope you do it every year ❤ I saw that comment, and I tried to stick up for you. People are going to judge you no matter what you do. It makes it not as appealing to share these types of things when you know you are going to get judgement, but I’m glad you are sticking up for yourself!

Hi Amelia, Merry Christmas and Happy 2024 New Year! Good news, I went into the Dollarama in my area this week and FOUND the bullet journals. They were on the shelf, just sitting there, so of course I had to buy 4 of them because I wanted things to match. Ha Ha Ha. I have a question, what are your thoughts about banking with Tangerine and there promotions? Are you happy with them? Is service good? etc.I am interested in this because I am looking at making some changes before the new year.

Merry Christmas! Have you talked to your therapist about weighting yourself weekly? Most people working in the field recommend throwing out and leaving the weight to medical professionals to keep track of.
