Whoops- I wouldn’t make a good witness at a trial. Getting my facts mixed up. I’m so thankful to the girls and coaches though for giving us all the experience of a lifetime!!
Love it! I was there at Stotes cheering on my daughter, Morgan Simpson and her junior teammates, Eva, Valentina, Anika and Minori. What an experience!!! Then on to win Stotes and nationals their senior year... Then third at Henley in the UK. Priceless. But a minor correction: These girls were Varsity and not JV. Can you make the change in the title? Thank you so much for the post and letting me relive these special moments...
Hey Alan! The girls were actually entered in a JV boat in 2017 and that was the video of them winning Stotes as juniors (Morgan, Eva and Minori) and Valentina and Annika were actually sophomores as they are still rowing this year now as seniors. Their senior year was awesome too but they didn't win Stotes that year. If you remember it's when they (the regatta) had to move over to the cooper river in a last minute decision and then when it was their final race it was kind of rainy so I think they still ended up second though.
