I have also heard blue lights are much better for those who are colored blind. Red lights look like some other color to those that are color blind. Blue lights stand out much better in general and do not blend in with other lights day or night.

This may be true or just a myth? I have heard the reason for more police switching from Red and Blue lights to all is blue lights only seem to have a calming effect on motorist being pulled over for traffic stop,and are less combative or confrontational toward officers especially those who are DUI and fewer incidents in which officers have to use force while making arrest the better. Is this true qr. myth?

I think all blue only lights should become a national standard for all Law Enforcement vehicle to make it all standard. A lot of cities and state use Red and Blue lights. I can understand that in the past back in the 1970’s and 80’s when the concept of blue emergency lights were new. In the U.S. but now someone would have to be living under a rock not to know police now use them.

When I lived in Sunapee, the only time I saw the Police was when Steven Tyler was in town 😊🖤
