I was born near London in 1958 and in the 1960s from time to time would go on holiday down to Devon or Cornwall. Often we would make a break at Stonehenge. In those days visitors were still few in number. There was no car park and my dad would park at the roadside. A man in a smart uniform inside a little wooden hut would take your money, sell you a brochure, a postcard etc. then we’d then wander about and could even sit in and amongst the stones and eat a picnic. I’ve even got some black and white photos of us perched on the stones. Now it’s a veritable theme park. I don’t know whether you were told, or have subsequently learned, but that whole area of Salisbury Plain is covered with thousands of archeological sites not just Stonehenge. Nearby Avebury was even more imposing in its day. Enjoyed your visit.

If possible, try to sit on the left-hand side of the train going to Cork as the views are more scenic. Vice versa on the trip to Cobh.

I've been on Apex and Edge. For me, Eden is the best on the ship. The experience is among my favorite, land or sea. Next is Luminae. The service is incredible and the chef's prepare wonderful meals. Le Bistro is my favorite lunch. The MDR's are very good. Very well put together video!
