Great Video I've done 2 mergers and I'll say never again That being said I firmly disagree that to a sale step at a multinational clients are just a number , it depends on the rep I've never had a customer I didn't value or looked at as just a number . My experience in 2 freight mergers Issues , - Has the company paid the correct amount for the forwarder was it what they thought they were getting . We work in a cyclical market , if you get acquiring wrong pay the wrong price for the business at the wrong time in the market , this endures further chaos as redundancies will be imminent . Performance can only been raised by so much - Merging systems while people leave the business can be messy sometimes it can even be easier to change IFF providers than deal with the fallout if they get the systems merger wrong . In my two instances their acquiring company has been system and not people focuses running a sausage factory operation is difficult if you get a systems merger incorrect - The Management stand off , and the bad feel that comes with it or ruthless cost cutting to raise performance have been two strategies I have seen while being apart of mergers . Freight mergers will not be going anywhere but as a customer or as a sales person I would avoid companies where MNA is the strategy
