Tubliss Tire System Review ( I can't believe the tire stayed on!)
After compromising a tire in the back country, the Tubliss system allowed me to get back safely. I'm impressed at how well the system kept the tire on the rim and didn't allow any damage to the rim from rock strikes.

Montana to Idaho Day 4. Pretty sure most of the day was not on a trail!
Просмотров 21610 месяцев назад
Day 4 took us from Riggins Idaho to Cascade Idaho (127miles). We ended up on a billy goat trail, which lead to no trail at the top of the mountain. From there is was rock hopping and bush whacking to get back on course. What a day! Topped off with a round of cold ones, a great dinner, and a dip in the lake!

    I have a CRF450RL setup similarly to your bike and I’ve run the Tubliss system for three years now. I’m totally sold on it for dual sporting, ultralight ADV, and the type of riding in your videos. I can crawl through the toughest rock gardens or blast down the highway at 80 mph with the same setup. Keep up the good work.

    Nice setup, learned quite a bit. Hope it’s okay to share our 2023 KTM 500 EXC-F setup: ruclips.net/video/r4Xt4rycLuI/видео.htmlsi=I6B7oIlVOn1uMcBy (We’ve got two buildout episodes before this one, and another upcoming two-parter on the Taco Moto setup!) Cheers, Lisa and Jase 🙏🫶👩🏻‍🦰 🇬🇧

    Interesting pronunciation of Acerbis. In Australia we say it exactly the way it looks A-cer- bis 🤷‍♂️

    That trip looks super fun but I was wondering what you were using for navigation I used to live in gratefalls and have been to most of the towns you went to by truck but never on a motorcycle also have you thought about doing the trans American trail

    Great video. Trails are not full of huge boulders and rock ledges like here in CO.

    Nice set up Thanks for the video. I’ll have to look into those tusk bags. I have the same year in the Husky version.

    do you run the VSL headlight on the road? Just curious as it seems to point very high on my bike and perhaps overly bright for road use.

      Yes, I don't ride too much road. However, the light angle does seem a bit high even with the light adjusted all the way down. Also the fact that there is no hi/low, just on or off. I guess it's better to been seen though when riding on the road.

    What about the fender eliminator kit? Which one did you use?

      I went with the Tacomoto Tidy Tail. Very sleek, installs easy, and works great! It's very nice to get rid of the huge tail light/turn signal assembly.

      A combination of looking very closely at Google Earth and Gaia GPS. Gaia is great on the computer for building routes. The Gaia app is great for the actual navigation on the bike.

    Thanks for showing your setup! Question: is that the stock seat? I've bought the 2020 one a few weeks back and it has an aftermarket saddle on it. Have to stop every 45 minutes on-road because of pains. So I'm looking out for a different saddle. If you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them 😀

      Thanks for checking out the video! What I have is the KTM low seat because I'm not the tallest of riders. It has more of a gripper cover which I like. However, I find my self standing a lot and I don't ride too much road so this seat has worked out for me so far. If you are looking into a seat for comfort on longer rides I'd check out Seat Concepts. Everyone I know that has one says they are worth the money.

    • @mattbillenstein
      @mattbillenstein 10 месяцев назад

      I run a seat concepts comfort-xl - the extra width is a real ass-saver. That being said, there's a guy who makes custom seats - Fisher Seats - I've wanted to try one; that's probably as good as you can do on a dual sport.

    • @DavidDacaro
      @DavidDacaro 9 месяцев назад

      @@mattbillenstein I got a fisher seat and loved it so far, and several say it's far more comfortable for long rides than the seat concepts. However, a couple months ago I went riding in CO for a couple days offroad on an older ktm 450 with a newer enduro engineering seat (or was it a seat cover?). I thought that felt more comfortable for me and my ass than the Fisher, which I love and is of very high quality. I didn't have the fisher guy make one custom for me like he wants, I got mine on ebay due to a long wait time from fisher for new seats.
