14LB Striper & Double Up Trolling Buck-tails: Lake Lanier
We got a Double! 14.14LB striper caught using Buck-tail jigs with a curly grub tail. Watch as I fight this beast on my medium action rod with 20lb test mono line with 20lb fluorocarbon leader. She felt heavy and she sure was.
Notes: Trolling south of 3 sisters islands, using all white Buck-tail jig with a chartreuse colored curly tail grub. I'm releasing 300ft of lead core line while running 2.5 mph. I can reach around 30ft down with that setup.

    Do you think it would be difficult to drive with the tiller if you had a seat in the middle? My motor has tiller on port side of the motor (is yours coming out of the center) and I'm considering a layout in a jon boat with a seat pedestal in the middle (no bench seat). My current boat has a bench, but a horrible leak, so I cannot test the idea. I normally would be sitting on the right side of boat.

    • @BassettBTV
      @BassettBTV День назад

      @@sgib199 I installed the seat pedestal when I first got the boat thinking I would like it. But I did not like it, it was gone the following week. My tiller is coming off the center with a small degree to my left. I stand right center and drive with my left hand, keeps the boat level while driving.

      @@BassettBTV Thank for the reply. I did see in your videos how you are standing a little to the right. Doing that from a center seat would be a pain, but I want to sit while driving. Looking at getting a 1548 jon, and with it not being a not-so-wide boat, thought it would be nice to have two seats in line with each other along the center of the boat. Except for the driving part.

      Hi, just a heads up...a 500 watt e-bike will not be able to take you up hills without some very strenuous pedaling. I'm 245lbs and had a 750 watt e-bike and had trouble going up hill. I've since purchased a 1500 watt Wired Cruiser e-bike and can now climb any hill in my area. With that said, if you plan on solely riding flat surfaces then a 750 watt would work fine but may not reach top speed. I just purchased my first e bike at 70 yrs old,adventure 2,nice solid bike,great features but dang thing is a tank, even removing 10lb battery its a struggle to move and transport, i feel it's to much bike to ride comfortable, considering a down trade to aventon "sinch" 20lbs less weight and easier to mount ( knee issues),my a2 is step thru but getting my size 12 shoe the step thru not so good.

      The A2 is a very heavy duty bike. Each bike depends on your riding style and location your riding. The sinch may weight less but how comfortable will it be. Recommend testing it out in a bike shop first. Everyone’s styles are different.
