Can i be an actuary with bsc maths and physics
Can I begin with actuarial exams “board exams” while in varsity or i can only begin with the exams after completing my degree?? How many exams can I take a year?? Can I take exams while doing internship??

I'm currently doing my first year in Actuarial Science at UFS 😍 and my main interest is mainly in mathematics and statistics, well studying everything else outside these 2 related to actuary is not really bad I can say. Well the statistics prove that being an actuary has a lot of job security, my question is will I be able to use my interest in math and stats in actuary in order for me to obviously enjoy my work, despite the motive to make money, enjoying your work is more important. Can whoever come across this comment real advise before it's too late.

Can I become an actuary through computer science

Masters in computer science and electrical engineering how? Did he do another undergraduate degree or from his honours in actuarial science he went straight into his masters in computer science and electrical engineering, if so then I am amazed at how you can shape your career with just an actuarial science degree with honours

Get a mathematical degree or if you don't have one, an actuarial science degree is fine. Then work while clearing exams with ASSA. Pass all the exams then you'll become an actuary

What is the best major to study when the university you go to doesn't have actuarial science, wanna choose between math and stats, and/or applied math and stats

I’m upgrading my matric certificate in order to study this
Hi that is really nice. I admire the determination. Some advice during the holidays start with PreCalculus and Calculus 1 here on youtube., Probability theory may also help a bit. Just to get an idea of what year 1 looks like

@@Syanqoba Don't do it. Employers look down on UJ degrees. Rather get good enough marks then study actuarial science at Wits instead.

I'm currently matric and I started to do research on becoming an actuary. Is it possible to provide more detailed info on applying to study Actuarial science, like what my matric marks should look like and what I can expect when studying.

Yes it is possible. Just get the content for the Actuarial Science exams. Then register with ASSA as a non member, then write your A211 exam.

Maths 80% or more. 85% at least to stand a realistic chance of getting accepted Your NSC average typically should be at least around 80-83% to stand a realistic chance of getting in
