Some clips from six days of backpacking in the Uncompahgre Wilderness of southwest Colorado in July 2013. Our route circumnavigated Wetterhorn and Uncompahgre Peaks, with a successful summit of Uncompahgre Peak on day four and an attempted summit of Matterhorn Peak on day three (from which we aborted due to hail and an imminent storm).

A short clip of our summit of Uncompahgre Peak in July 2013. This is the sixth highest peak in Colorado with an elevation of 14,309 feet. We made the climb as a break midway through a six day backpacking trip in the Uncompahgre Wilderness of Colorado. We also made an attempt to summit Matterhorn Peak, just a few miles away, the day before, but were run off by hail.

View from the top of Willow Pass. We hiked the four pass loop in July 2009, crossing Buckskin Pass on the last night. I hiked up the morning of the final day, before heading back to town to get some solitude.
