Wow, first time I've heard this. RUclips serendipity of course, as I'm listening to the audio book of "I Shall Wear Midnight". Poor Tiff, Terry was very hard on the poor girl, but surely the kinship of the Feegles was a huge consolation. Dear God, I would love to hear Terry's thoughts on this song. There are no sentiments here that he would not have considered. I've read all his books many times, except the Shepherd's Crown. That one I read, once, through tears, and will never read again. 😢

Huh??? Sorry, the first 22 seconds is not what he's playing on the studio track at all. On the studio track it's a pair of quick snare/kick drum patterns followed by a sequence of fills on his toms, then quarter notes on the kick drum with a few high hat accents under Stuart's guitar intro followed by the sixth notes on the snare kick in at 00:22 .

Barry’s sisters went to same school as moi. Finally got to see them - Horslips about 2010 I think. I was too young when they were about in early days. But I did buy all the records I could afford then. Eamon was imho the best looking then. My favourite song has always been The Rocks Remain off A Celtic Symphony which they rarely did live. Barry wrote that. But Eamon wrote Ghosts and Sideways To The Sun. Barry wrote Warm Sweet Breath of Love. I think, but am not entirely sure - Johnny might’ve written I’ll Be Waiting. Charles is the most vain.

Love Charles’ tie. I’ve got tights with shamrocks. But I only wear them on Paddy’s Day.
