I own a keychron v3 max and was wondering if it is necessary to mod the keyboard. Some say that the v max series don't need modding from factory.

the metallicky recoil sound when the key hits the board is awful and since you cant switch any of it because it is custom built for this board, thats an absolute no no.

Both sound the same so I guess I suggest buying the cheaper one?

I love this keyboard! I really like the retro aesthetic it has. If I really get tired of the color I guess I'll mod it or something but this thing is amazing. I just can not seem to get it to work with VIA software.

I'm looking into tactile switches because I got the Rosewoods with the M1 V3 recently, which is my first custom keyboard, and I'm already missing the gaming keyboard I was using that had tactiles. I believe the one I had before had a bit of travel before feeling the bump. And the bump felt a bit scratchy but I honestly kind of liked that. This one having the bump right at the top of the key stroke, on top of having a spring that seems a bit too light, sounds interesting. Is it like it has a high actuation force and it just gives way? Or does the bump feel satisfying with the rest of the keystroke? Because I was torn between these, the Lavender V3, and Cream Blue V3, primarily because Akko's switches seem to be the only reasonably priced and portioned ones I can get delivered to me. So I'm at a loss, wondering if I should go one at a time or just say screw it and get 90 of all 3 and justify it with the free shipping if I spend over €50 on Akko's website, hah!

Not the best switched out there for me. But Yellows are quiter and faster, while Blues are with a noticable bump, more clicky and noisy, at least in the boards that I tried them
