It is about the number, actually. See, over time, more and more people have been grinding Quickplay, and back then, GSP was the number of people “you were better than”, so the GSP threshold for Elite Smash got higher. I believe they kept this system to some degree, since you need ~13.7 mil to get in, but in 2023, you just needed ~10.7 mil.

Those videos were most likely from years ago, or used footage from years ago.

@@GodlyDiamonds From what I know it constantly changes depending on how high you are. For example if I were to drop down to 13 mil or, 12 mil I would probably not be in elite smash. That’s what I noticed anyway.

@epic-09 it's not even worth it no mo, since to get there now you need to endure 3 for all's and wacky rulesets regardless of your preference and it aint the same no mo. But best of luck getting up there

I know you probably hear this a lot but truly, practice makes perfect. The more you understand your characters limitations and your opponents limitations the easier it will be to make reads. I picked this up after years of playing. Also if you can, try to watch your opponents habits. Whatever option they use. Try to exploit it. Hopefully I made a little bit of sense explaining. If you have anymore questions, I’ll be happy to answer the best I can.👍🏾
