@@allmypassions Thanks for your reply. No I don't have my planner on YT but I'm sure you will find plenty of "flip through" videos from other people. For 2024 I used the Hobonichi Hon because I missed out on the SI pre ordering. However I did use an SI N2 for notes and an A5 for faith journalling. If you use stickers, tip-ins or watercolour, it will bulk up to some extent. I haven't done much decorating this year but I'm hoping I'll have the time in 2025.

@ I usually don’t use a ton of stickers but still a bit. Just one or 2 per page so nothing much. I hope I will be able to have it the whole year. If not I’m 100% back to hobonichi for 2026. I even still keep the sneaker weeks as a backup 🤭

@allmypassions You've got the Sneaker weeks as a back up!? That made me laugh. If you only use one or two stickers per page it should be ok .. I guess. I have transparent or very thin stickers which work well. I loved Hobonichi but I think I will be staying with SI for now. :-)

@ I think the hobonichi mega is so perfect (like the amount of notes pages) just that I hate cream paper 😓 I wish SI would do an option with like 250 notes pages.

Yes i had it 2023. But i don’t like the set up of the weekly spreads. I feel very limited by the layout. Thanks for the thought though

@@SimplyAlethia i am happy to hear this. I can imagine that I will feel the same. I just wish the weeks would have white paper and not cream paper. I am curious to see the SI planner and I will do a video as soon as it’s here.

@@bubblefrog1965 I have 3 weeks now 😅 and the sterling ink coming. I will probably keep 2 weeks and see if I like the sterling ink. It’s so crazy. I know it’s just planners 😅 but i keep them a year and I need to make a good decision so I can be consistent.

@@allmypassions I know the struggle, always not sure if I have made the right decision, haha! I like the idea of the Sterling ink weeks compact because it's a bit wider than the regular weeks, because the paper is flush to the edge. Maybe it's not even noticeable when writing, idk … I'm also trying to figure out if I like the weeks size or regular a6 for my journal, so I can buy a nice leather cover. I was sooo tempting bying the SI weeks with gold edges in tweed, or the same size notebook. I have the dark blue stardust cover and the harvest plaid cover for my weeks :)

@@bubblefrog1965 I got the full year with the 380 notes pages. I wish there would be an option with like 220 pages. 380 is a little bit too much, 120 not enough. Still, I’m excited.

@@allmypassions I love the look of a super chunky notebook, but hopefully for me the regular weeks note pages is enough. I'm excited to see it, if you unbox it in a video :) Also, for me, sometimes it helps bying something I'm thinking about and find out it's not for me. Then what I already have is the thing I want in the end. But seing and holding the other option is sometimes a must to really know. Also, I actually ended up LOVING the Hobinichi pen, which I didn't think I would. I'm so happy about that :)

I would probably buy a compact weeks in a FB destash. I saw a few this year on fb but wasn’t sure about the size. Since then I have Learnt the difference between N1 and N2. I also can’t decide which planners I will use for 2025.

I personally like them a lot, but now I have a problem because I had already decided that I would buy something with a snake cover (because I am snake in the Japanese/Chinese Zodiac) but I like the Cherry one more (and I like cherries in general). And I wasn't going to buy a Hon this year, just an original, but I can't find use for two Weeks, either. I am probably going to buy the Cherry Weeks Mega and maybe a Snake Weeks later, possibly in the spring, if I really want it and can come up some use for it... Or maybe a Hon, this year I got the Cats one relatively cheap on sale. Decisions, decisions... And I noticed your another video right after I posted my comment! :D

@@tyttiMK I use the second weeks as my book journal. It’s probably not the most useful decision but I just love the regular weeks covers so much so I want to have 2 😂 I like my book journals also that way and I can always find them easily in my cupboards

@@allmypassions That has been one of my ideas, too, or actually a combined media journal, or just for TV series, documents and movies. (I have actual book journals which would be better suited for reviews and such and I already use three different sites/apps to keep track of my reading/listening, as well...) And I would probably use 50 pages of the Mega to track a reading challenge, so I could have the prompts and my ideas for them with me everywhere. I have been putting photo stickers of the book covers in my A6 Hon (just bought a Canon Zoemini 2), so next year I'll have to decide if I want to continue doing that or start using Weeks for it, but I think they fit better in A6. So the books are already everywhere... But this is my first year of even using Hobonichi, so I still have some figuring out to do.

@@tyttiMK true A6 would be a better fit. I think the best would be the day free. But I love covers so it’s not an option for me

@@JakosBlog i had the Leuchtturm A6 and it was too small for me. It’s almost a pocket size. And I didn’t enjoy the layout much. But I hope it will work for you

@@bubblefrog1965 yes it does poke out a bit, but not too much so it didn’t disturb me and I always use my planner in my cover so it worked for me ☺️

@@allmypassions I'm glad it works for you. I know I'm very easily bothered by small things, lol, so I'm thinking maybe drop the clasp and make it a folio cover. The only reason I want the clasp is because I like how it looks more than without. I also thinking without any pockets, so there is a smooth surface to write on on both sides!

I don't think I need the mega, but I think it looks better in leather covers, since I don't like roomy cover, I want a snug fit. Maybe I'll buy both, just to see what I like. We'll see... Planner funk is no fun, but it won't last forever! ;)

I know the dilemma. But it doesn’t bother me much to be honest. If you know it would, you could check out her Etsy shop, she has a lot of different closure options. I also know the feeling of needing something after watching a video. I think the most important thing is to have fun in our planner systems and make it useful for us. I love to document my life and being able to go back and check how I felt a certain day just makes me happy 🥰 I hope you find the perfect cover for your needs

@@allmypassions I may just end up getting one without closure, as your A6. It will stay on my desk anyways, so I don't really need it. I think I will be more happy with a surface that doesn't annoy me, than something I just think is pretty. I'm glad it doesn't bother you tho :) I even have to take the elastic out of my Travelers company notebook covers, since I cand't deal with the bump in the back, haha! I agree, the most important thing is to have fun along the way :) Thank for all your videos, always fun watching :)

Sounds like a good plan. Will you do some flips? I have never used the Techo Cousin. I feel like I can’t use everything at once monthly weekly and daily. Which doesn’t really make sense because that’s what I use in my hobonichi weeks. Maybe it’s the size… 😅

No it doesn’t. The converters are also not that good. I threw the Lamy away. It was leaking too much unfortunately. I’m using Twisbi now and I’m very happy

Ja ich liebe das auch :) Ich hatte früher mal einen 5 Jahresplaner, aber bin nicht so richtig reingekommen. Ich hab irgendwie zu wenig Platz und wenig deko. Obwohl es natürlich echt spannend ist

@@allmypassions Kann ich verstehen. Ausführliches journaling schreibe ich woanders. Habe mir vorgenommen 3 punkte einzutragen: Event an diesem Tag, etwas Positives und etwas Negatives. Damit der Tag über die Jahre vergleichbar ist. Im freien Teil will ich dann meine aktuellen Songs und Bücher eintragen. Diese Sachen verbindet man ja auch immer stark mit der Vergangenheit. Aber ich bin noch am Experimentieren, das ist ja das Schöne am Hobby.
