It is much easier understanding rather than textbook
DNA are synthesized all types of RNA (tRAN, rRNA and mRNA)?Thank you
Thank you.
That's brilliant
Thank you
Great lecture
there is also flow of information from RNA to DNA ( reverse transcription)
thank you so much for the information. before it, let me introduce myself. my name is glori and i from indonesia. so, i'm so sorry if my english is not good enough. i have watched this video and i found that "rifampicin clogs the rna exit channel..", but in every journals that i red, it said that "rifampin binds beta subunit of rna polymerase and it inhibits the synthesis of mRNA." is there a connection between these two statements? thank you in advance.
I am grateful. Thank you so much.
Perfect explanation. Needed this right before my micro exam Thank you 🙏
Do you have any information on rifampin metabolism
That is not my area of expertise. My video focuses on what rifampin does to sensitive bacterial cells. It is absolutely true that this chemical will be processed by our bodies over time. From what I understand the liver processes the rifampin and it is secreted into bile then leaves the body via the digestive tract. Rifampin also seems to be secreted into urine leaving the body vie the urinary tract. We should all depend on our doctors and our pharmacists to determine if rifampin is safe and effective for us as individuals based on our current health status.
thank you very much that was useful
GOLD!
great
Can alpha, beta, and neutron radiation transmutate stable elements in an irradiated object into radioactive ones, though?
Explicit lecture
Good explanation thank you
Why are there 5 amino acids and some parts 4 amino acids connected to the NAM
Different bacteria have different number of amino acids on NAM I think
I don’t think it’s that important to memorise the number and and type of amino acids hanging off the NAM because it differs between different species
Amino acid numbers are like 3-5
Sir which book I have to prefer for msc microbiology entrance exam
This video was really helpful thanks 🇿🇲
Can you tell me why can Rifampicin attach to that beta position? What part of its structure help it to attach to RNA Polymerase?
Hi! What's your book reference for this? Thanks
Why rifampin is given in combination
I'm not a medical doctor and I have never prescribed rifampin. So, the honest answer is that I do not know. That being said two antibiotic drugs may be prescribed at the same time to ensure effective elimination of the microbe causing the infection. Sometimes a single drug won't work as well as two given at the same time. In the end we should ask out doctor or our pharmacist why we are receiving two drugs at the same time.
Very helpful❤️🙏
At 10:01, did you mean helicase break the helix?
Yes you are absolutely correct. Don't you hate that our brains will do that to us sometimes. Don't be too hard on yourself if you write a word down incorrectly on your exam. Also be kind to your teachers when they make these kinds of mistakes. We all do it from time to time. Now I have to learn how to dub over the sound in my video so that I can insert the correct word.
This is sooo understandable. Thank You So Much
You are amazing
Thanks
Can you have liver toxicity or hepatitis or cardiac arest from this strong Rifampin?😢 i'm so scare to take somenthing that could kill me😭😭😭
I am not a medical doctor. So, you should definitely ask your doctor. Keep in mind that every chemical can be toxic/harmful. It is possible to die from water poisoning. What is important is that we take appropriate risk when prescribing medicines. Remember that the infection you are treating has risks too. Not treating the infection may be a very dangerous choice. Your doctor knows for sure.
I love this, it was helpful. I'm presenting a seminar on this topic next month . This really goes a long way
Very informative 👏🏼
Great video. Thank you!
Thank you! Great job explaining and using examples. I’m coaching a group of 8-11 year olds in an epidemiology competition and this was quite helpful.
Nice video
Very clear and informative! Thank you :)
