    I can't say 저는 진구가 있어요 ?

    • @gracenuri
      @gracenuri 6 лет назад

      Yes, you can say, "저는 친구가 있어요." But pay attention to the grammar. In precise translation, 저는as for me, 친구가 friend (grammatical subject), 있어요 to exist. Friend is not the object and cannot be followed by -를, the object particle. By meaning however, 저는 is the actual subject. In Korean sentence, it is okay to have two subjects in a sentence as in 제가 친구가 있어요: one for meaning and the other for grammatical subject. Grammatical subject must match with the verb 있어요. 있어요 is often translated as either "to be or to exist" or "to have", but in Korean grammar, 있어요 is always, "to exist". it is not the verb "to have" in grammar.
