I used a damp sponge (the scrubing part) with a tiny bit of soft scrub. Then I wiped it clean with a damp paper towel. I used this method because I didn't have rubbing alcohol at hand, but if you have you can use rubbing alcohol that works very well.

Hi, if you fill the hopper up to the max line and fill the globe up to the max line as well, in my case with one cat it lasts about 11 days. Update: I counted the days and It lasts 15 days.

Hi, you press the button when setting up the clock and it will show the numbers AM and if you keep pressing it will automatically change to PM or viceversa. You can see on my video how it changes.

Hi! I haven't experienced cat litter leaking like you mention. What I have noticed is that sometimes the SmartSpin doesn't rotate if I put too much cat litter. It seems like the unit operates with a minimum amount of it. If I put a little extra of the required amount the excess of cat litter goes to the waste drawer when rotating (I must mention that this happens with the Litter Robot too). What I do is trying to keep the litter level low to allow a better performance of the unit. Thanks for your comment. I hope that helps.

@@catfooddispensersreviews2696 That's interesting. You're probably right, it can only handle so much weight. I use micro crystals, which are pretty light compared to clay. However, because they're so tiny that's probably why they're getting through and getting into the gear. I spotted some very tiny holes in the globe on either side of the screws >_< I might use gorilla tape along the inside seam to keep the litter out.

Hi Nadine, the ice packs last aproximately 7 hours in the Pixi feeder. In a cold environment the food could last up to 12 hours or longer if placing a cooling mat under. Considering this I don't think it's recommended to leave wet cat food in the feeder for 6 days. Refrigerated wet cat food is recommended to consume within 4 days.

Hi Brian, I use it with the lower fence but I notice the higher fence has like a curved shape on that spot to catch anything. The excess of litter from the cat's paws will fall and be trapped in there for sure. Thanks for your good question!

Hi, I am sorry the Pixi didn't work for you and the King of the house :) This feeder is meant to be used for a mix of dry and wet food for the daily feeding of a cat. So you can leave the tray ready in the morning for the kitty and it will serve the feeding schedule of dry and wet food. This feeder is not meant to be loaded with wet food the night before with the wet food sitting in it all night long or leaving the cat alone for over a day. The feeding compartments are however, not very wide and cats with flat faces or large cats could have an issue with that, it worked well with my cat. Thank you very much for sharing your experience!

@ Then it kind of defeats the purpose doesn’t it? If it is to be used while I’m home then it adds no value whatsoever. I already have a dry kibble distributor for the free feeding between wet food meals. The purpose of getting an automatic feeder is to give the human some kind of freedom for the better part of a day when needed or to be able to sleep in while not depriving your cat of his morning meal. If it doesn’t serve any of these two purposes then someone needs to go back to the drawing board and think this through again. It is less of a hassle for me to fill a bowl three times a day then filling a tray in the morning and replacing the ice packs midday.

The Pixi works to feed your cat if you set the feeder for the day and leave for work. You can feed your cat wet and dry food or only wet food. To feed your cat only wet food you have a 7-hour window to do that since that's about how much the ice pack last. That means your cat can have wet food as breakfast and lunch. You can even spread out the breakfast in small meals (3) with some minutes apart and do the same with lunch (3) if you only want to feed your cat only wet food. If your cat wakes you up at 5 am-6 am for wet food in that case this feeder won't work or if you need to leave the feeder alone for a weekend with wet food.

Hi, the Litter Robot 4 I have doesn't have any screws in the filter section and you can just open the lid with your hands easily so I can't help you with that since I don't understand how you have that issue. When replacing cat litter the app only says: Optimal, not full. The waste drawer says full when it's full of cat waste so maybe you need to empty the waste drawer. One suggestion, every time you replace the cat litter or empty the waste drawer you need to reset the unit so it recalibrates. Hope that helps.

Hi, the OdorTrap can be installed in many ways, I used this one that was the recommended way at the time when I made this video. Over time I changed the location and now I put it on the side of the drawer, it works the same either way to me. But yes, it can be installed under or on the sides or front. Hi, you can clean the Robot 4 using the spray and wipes, I made a video on how to do it ruclips.net/video/Rxpv6NlH2-o/видео.html but make sure the globe is not too dirty to do that. By hosing the globe off you do a deeper cleaning.

That's strange, is yours a Litter Robot 4? It should have the filter compartment.

You have to rotate the unit. It won’t be on top if the unit is in its normal position.

Hi Sandy, nothing gets stuck inside the hole that won't allow the cat litter to fall through. Whas has happened to me is that occasionally (about twice a month) a clump could be too close to the big tab on the back and won't be dumped into the waste drawer, and will be back into the litter bed, but nothing gets stuck inside the hole. So no, the hole never gets blocked with anything.

Yeah, I used a photo camera without using flashlight at that time, this was one of my first videos, back in 2016 or 17. However, you can still see the absorbion and the clump being dumped which is what the Litter Robot needs for it to work properly.

Hi, I did! I have a review on my website about it, it worked well but the dust was so bad I could hardly speak as I was pouring it into the Robot.

It works well, no issues at all. The only thing is that it makes a loud noise when it dispenses so if your cat is very skittish, it may scare it.

Yes, I tried the bags but they ended up being too expensive for me. I actually place a piece of carbon filter inside the waste drawer together with the OdorTrap bag, it works well. Thanks for your comment!

I also have an air purifier next to my litter robots (I have four purifiers in the house), but the smell is so strong some times… especially when the cats who refuse to cover their 💩 do their business 😂

Hi! Yes it does! The Litter Robot 4 features a bezel which is the round front part of the Robot 4 that forms like one piece with the base, it's like a sort of round frame that doesn't move, so only the globe rotates. The ramp and fence are installed on this bezel, not on the globe.

If you mean the bag with cat waste you simply detach the ramp from the hinge and open the drawer. You don't need to remove the hinge.

Hi, if you have a cat that digs strongly toward the entry or a male cat that urinates high you may want to replace these strips to prevent leakage into the bezel, I suggest replacing them after 3 o 4 months if your cat meets one of those conditions. You can get the seal strips here whisker.pxf.io/eKdRm1 The seal strips that go on the bezel are the ones measuring 11.5" long. Hope that helps.

I was giving you another answer asumming you just don't use the app, but after reading again I see you don't have a phone. I don't think it's possible to connect the Litter Hopper without the App because Whisker always mentions the firmware software being updated for this installation to work. Just to be sure call them and see what they tell you.

They both work well in the sense of not having to scoop the litter box, however the LR4 is more advance with more features, easier to empty to clean, and easier for the cat to enter to it. The SmartSpin is a good option for people who don't want to scoop anymore and who are willing to give up on the LR4 features and cleaning convenience because they cannot afford the expensive unit.
