say whatever u want man, i have been a member for almost a year and i feel great there. my goal is to get more flexible and healthier or even just to sweat after a busy day to feel better, im not looking to life a huge load of some fking stupid dead weight

So---I am a 2:45 marathoner, and have done 3 sup 12 hour ironman races. I go to Planet Fitness to do my weight training because it is convenient, cheaper then buying and taking care of home equipment and because I travel, there are many gyms, and basically all the same same so I don't have to spend time orienting myself. Sometimes, I use the treadmill to do some speedwork if there isn't a track close by and available. Why do I care what the person on the treadmill is doing because he is not as fast as me? Here is the thing, most of the people at Planet Fitness are there for basic fitness, and it is better then not exercising. I know I am not going to get specialized body building equipment there. It's the McDonalds of gyms, and like McDonalds, I can come up with terrible anecdotal stories.

A plant fitness in Temple City CA had an employee get jumped right in front of the building and one of the guys had a membership they refused to revock that idiots membership so the employee quit , sad when your place of employment has no concern for your well-being smh

The staff is rude in Atlanta and harassed me because I said the equipment was old Belvedere Plaza. It's extremely hard to contact someone if you have an issue

Love this gym. Plenty of equipment to get in shape. They try to keep the juicers out by limiting weights.

Planet fitness is great. It allows people who want to be able to work out access to a gym and good equipment without needing to worry about the weirdo power and body builders. Planet fitness is not for those people. It’s for the other 90% of the population and it’s great that they are able to provide fitness center availability at an affordable price to the public.

I was here on a "fam trip" as a travel professional in 2019 before the resort opened. Myself and about 8 other invitees were wined and dined for several days by the director of sales for Barcelo Resorts. I must say it was the experience of a lifetime. The staff, the amenities, the food, and the views were second to none. Of all the places I have stayed in Mexico this resort complex was my absolute favorite! I want to stay again so bad!

the biggest issue I have with planet fitness is the kids that congregate around a machine forever and how long people sit at a machine on their phone.

Which location is this?

I go there because nobody is ever on the machines. Having worked out for 20’years I can make do with all the equipment. It’s clean, and I like that a lot

well I am here at the Barcelo Maya Riviera Resort and let me tell you it is a nice hotel, huge. Depending on your room you may have to walk a long distance to eat. We are staying in a swim-up room (premium service) but unfortunately there has not been nothing premium about our stay. We called for refill of our mini bar to enjoy the pool outside our room and it has taken over 3 hours to get our refreshments. Food is not the best, even in the specialty restuarants. We do recommend the French and Italian, we think these two are the best. In the pool area, it is divided into two sections. One is the Music bar area where you can be loud, smoke and really go crazy. The other is quiet, cannot have a speaker with you to listen to your own music, no smoking allowed. We will not be returing to this hotel.

I like Planet Fitness. My only complaints are that, number one, all the specials that they have tend to over crowd the gym. People join because of the specials but have no interest in staying long term. I dont like having to wait around to use equipment. Number two, the hours are TERRIBLE! The gyms in my area are open 7-7 on weekends. I like to work out after 7 so, on the weekends , I can't use their gym. Its not worth it. I like Anytime gym. It is open 24 hours. Much more convenient. Its a little bit more every month but the value is better because I can actually use it on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Tell those PF members that the spray is only meant to wipe off sweat. I’m tired of watching them wash the entire machine before and after usage😢😢😢😢😢😢

Judgement free is actually a lie. PF isn’t trying to keep people from being judged, it’s trying to keep people from feeling inferior. You can follow every rule, never set off the dumb ass alarm and stilll get kicked out for being jacked or lifting more weight than the average person. If your level of fitness exceeds another’s you are penalized. It should be called Planet Wokeness.

I stayed there and I really liked it because it was really close to the airport. I thought the grounds were beautiful with the peacocks buffet. Food was really good because I never seen lamb chops offered on buffets but you could never get into a restaurant and this one the downside was there was a lot of people because they offer day passes to the locals and a lot of people who work there did not speak English, that was my downside of this property so for me a scale one to 10 I would give it a 7

For the restaurants needing reservations, do they have an app to reserve or did you have to do it at the lobby each time?

Planet Fitness continues to charge me after I went in and cancelled my membership. I cancelled my membership on 6/14/2024 and have been charged the monthly fee on 6/17/24 and 7/17/24. I am not disputing the 6/17 charge, but the 7/17 charge is purely fraud. I have no reason to believe you will not continue to charge me. I am disputing the 7/17/24 charge and any further charges by Planet Fitness will be flagged fraud. I have filled complaints with the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission. Note that I went in person to the Decatur Illinois Planet Fitness to cancel and have a copy of the cancelation paperwork. When I called about the 7/17/24 charge, the Decatur Illinois Planet Fitness blew me off and hung up on me. I will continue to explore options against Planet Fitness.
