‘Baby Whisperer’ cop from Centereach delivers for moms in labor
Jon-Erik Negron of Centereach discusses how he earned the catchy nickname after assisting in the delivery of five babies while on the job as a Suffolk County police officer.

“The two influences that led me to becoming a police officer were that my dad works for the Yankees and worked for George Steinbrenner, who was a huge proponent of the police, and my stepdad is a retired member of the NYPD. When my mom and dad split up, I was about 4-5 years old, and the next influential person in my life was my stepdad, who is an incredible role model. I couldn’t have picked a better person for my mom than him.

    I’m currently watching Dagger’s story on my local PBS station. I needed to send you this. It is not my story, I believe it was from Reader’s Digest. “Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.” As they made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told the vet that they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience. The next day, the vet felt the familiar catch in his throat as Belker‘s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that the vet wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. They all sat together for a while after Belker’s Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that dogs’ lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, “I know why.” Startled, they all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned the vet. He had never heard a more comforting explanation. He says that it changed the way he will try and live. “People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life - like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right? Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay for as long as we do.” 🐾♥️🐾 There is no pain like losing our cold nosed friends….

    Yes, what is most important is that we treat each other well, so please explain to me that if I don’t use the pronouns you DEMAND I use because I don’t believe in your trans ideology, why am I the bad person, I am transphobic, I am hateful, I am a bigot? You want me to accept you as you are, but you won’t accept me as I am. Why is that?

    • @njlauren
      @njlauren 2 месяца назад

      Ever dawn on you by using the wrong pronoun you aren't respecting their right to live as they do? What right do you have to decide who someone else lives as or is? I think evangelical Christians and their beliefs are wrong, but I respect their right to live as they wish as long as they dont try to force their beliefs on others.

    • @donnanelson9181

Even without this droopy piece of flesh between my legs I will never have a real vagina or a real uterus or real breasts that produce milk. I will never know what it’s like to be pregnant or have a period. Who am I kidding, she’s right, I never will be a real woman.😢

    Great video - growing up in Noyac I’ve found tons of artifacts … but when Hurricane Sandy destroyed my house and we had to demo it … underneath… I found some crazy old stuff .. guns, muskets , knives, tools , coins etc … was wondering … ever metal detect around Trout Pond? There used to be a gris mill and homes there … 1800’s fire burned them all down but if you look hard enough you can see foundations … always wanted to try there …
