I’m currently watching Dagger’s story on my local PBS station. I needed to send you this. It is not my story, I believe it was from Reader’s Digest. “Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.” As they made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told the vet that they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience. The next day, the vet felt the familiar catch in his throat as Belker‘s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that the vet wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. They all sat together for a while after Belker’s Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that dogs’ lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, “I know why.” Startled, they all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned the vet. He had never heard a more comforting explanation. He says that it changed the way he will try and live. “People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life - like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right? Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay for as long as we do.” 🐾♥️🐾 There is no pain like losing our cold nosed friends….

Even without this droopy piece of flesh between my legs I will never have a real vagina or a real uterus or real breasts that produce milk. I know some historical group dug on the British fort site at Fort Salonga which is located in a private residence with the home owners permission a few years ago, that would be a great dig if allowed!!

I grew up on long island in farmingdale. In 2002 in moved to Hicksville. I’m 59 years old. I think it’s awesome what you found. It is great that someone on Long Island is finding our history. I know you found it but, just to hear about the history that you’ve found I great. I’ve been to different states and countries. Long Island New York is a special place.

From Wading River you are correct there was an old farmstead in the 19century and when they built houses in the late 80’s I found an 1854 penny from the homestead which had actual beach from the rocks north shore mixed with mortar as the basement root cellar or whatever it was all the wood was long gone only that foundation and the fields which are all houses now sad Long Island is ruined and I’m leaving ASAP. Y

That is so cool and so beautiful! Dude if it wasn’t for bright passionate people like him we would never get to see the beauty of these artifacts that are on this beautiful island if not all over the world! Awesome job..

Great video - growing up in Noyac I’ve found tons of artifacts … but when Hurricane Sandy destroyed my house and we had to demo it … underneath… I found some crazy old stuff .. guns, muskets , knives, tools , coins etc … was wondering … ever metal detect around Trout Pond? There used to be a gris mill and homes there … 1800’s fire burned them all down but if you look hard enough you can see foundations … always wanted to try there …

Damn I’m in Suffolk and have a pretty nice metal detector from awhile ago that I never use anymore maybe I gotta try again

Hey grew up in Smithtown we used to find arrow heads and what was what we thought was junk in the old estate garbage pits we were like 15 16 .didn't know what we had

thank you for not being a sellout how rare in this day and age when people would sell off there mother for a dime. I might suggest a museum to donate these historic treasures.

Why is history always related to war. I hate it Just like Pawn Stars, men seem to come alive when it comes to war memorabilia. Remember war is all about killing and that sucks. Nothing to be so excited about from my eyes
