Mother Nature was pissed and I laughed in her face
This hits hard
3:02 what a cagey guy. Kenny could've just answered the question and admitted he was implying it. "I didn't say that" is so manipuIative and evasive.
It’s 2025 and we still dealing with this Crap 💩
Boy Chicago could really use Carl again back in the line of duty these days 😢
I respect kenny, the decent innocent police officer. He was the officer who didn't do nothing wrong.
‘ I was 18 years old in 1994 when this episode of family aired on tv . Season 5 episode 15 . January 1994
‘ It’s from JANUARY 1994
Carl didn't play bout his kids
"Powerful epi. there!"
"Yeah.. ran a stop sign" Carl knew in that moment that Eddie was telling the truth.
He looked at the report
After seeing recent events, this episode’s message NEEDS to be heard
I miss watching this 📺 show. One of my favorites
And that's why cops have body cams now to prevent something like this happening
We need Dads like Carl with real values, not this modern insanity
Reginald and Barry hats off to them the they were both actors
There's going to be a racist cop no matter where you go!
Evans wont be a cop no more when his partner supports carls complaint
name the show please
Family Matters
Family Matters
Reginald veljohnson is a 🐐
Officer Carmichael only made things worse by saying that stuff about not knowing Eddie was the son of a fellow boy in blue, I hope he realized that. At least he learned a good lesson from Carl.
Police departments from all across America need to see this clip.
And what's so sad this episode and TV show was over 30 years ago and it still happening today
Evans' racist comments about black kids being in white neighborhoods remind of the stupid lengths people go to in order to show their beliefs. A pedo-hunter said adult men watch kids shows like Power Rangers to get physically closer to kids, their parents should watch them carefully, and the men need to grow up and watch adult shows. That is much worse than the teasing I got in elementary and middle school for liking that show. A deeply religious man who forbids his wife from befriending other men says people only pretend to be gay to get closer to those of the opposite sex.
I like my coffee with amaretto cream and not black!
Is that Ted Wheeler???
That's a hard lesson to learn when it's in your FACE!
You noticed there were no cameras 🎥. I bet if you had cameras then you would see that the Officer was in the right and not wrong.. It’s always OH you stopped me because I was black.
He left without his cruller
That is out of character for carl.
I MISSED REAL TELEVISION 📺!! 😀. A LOT OF MORALE VALUES, YOU DON'T SEE TODAY!! 😀.
As much as I love my coffee, sitting at a table with a jerkoff like that could ruin the name of Coffee for me
Can you imagine a sitcom now with the dad being a Chicago cop? UNTHINKABLE
Good episode
We need more shows with these messages today
This still happens till this day sadly only gotten worse
If there was an investigation im sure Carl could subpoena the whole diner. While they may not be able to speak to the exact incident with Eddie, it does speak to Evan's character, that he does indeed have racist ideals.
Stop harassing his people. I don’t care if you are bad cop! Leave the city.
Carl was being a wise guy saying I’ll have my coffee,Black! LOL! Only because he was mad at the cop!
Evans knew he was in trouble the minute he walked but Carl was very nice to the young officer Evan’s sounded like it was mostly him that did it therefore Eddie told the truth
Carl winslow is a national treasure....God bless all the officers who are actually good guys and wanna make a difference and who understands we are all created equal ....Jesus was not white remember......and He laid His Life down for us all
1:39 “No it’s NOT all right” The way Carl said it, I like to think that’s when he realized Eddie was telling the truth.
This is how you know this is fiction.
Actually I knew already
I love this episode.
I wish my dad was more like carl when he was alive and raising me and my siblings instead of being the way he was because we are from the hood of South Central Los Angeles.
Evans knew he was in trouble when Carl came in
I know this is a show, one of the most powerful episodes I've ever watched, this cop was scum, I would've loved if Carl got everything this guy said on tape
How did Carl know which cops pulled Eddie over? And how did he find them so fast?
What show is this?
‘ family matters January 1994 Season 5 episode 15
"It's pinned to slime" damn!
Such a stupid move admitting to racially profiling a kid in front of a diner full of witnesses where they all heard every. Single. Thing he said.
The way Evans says you can’t prove that he is basically admitting to it. Why can’t racism just go away and we come together as people regardless race religion life is better when you build bridges between people not walls. Like Martin Luther King said, judge people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
